We just launched a tutorial showing how to make a professional-quality Commercial using AI. For this project, we created a consistent Product, character, and style using Nano Banana Pro Pro from Google DeepMind inside of Freepik , then we animated the images using Veo 3.1 inside of Google Flow. This is a perfect workflow for those wanting to create a high quality commercial using AI. Honestly, this project was so much fun. The real question is, who wants to buy one of these sweaters??? Here's a 6-minute video walkthrough I made for our support team showing them a tweak to the new sidebar in Basecamp 5. It's a fundamental change to a sensitive feature, so I wanted to make sure they had both a heads up, and a principled walkthrough of the reasons behind the change. We're not done with it, but we're far enough along that all the big stuff is represented. I thought people who make product might find this behind-the-scenes stuff interesting, while others will probably be bored out of their minds. You choose!

There was a TikTok trend where people said the New York Brooklyn Bridge was going to have a big fireworks show for New Years Eve Without doing so much as a Google search huge crowds of people all gathered for the show and did a countdown Nothing happened. These people vote “Any second now. Where are they? Did we get pranked? We got pranked….. I mean, the amount of people who are misinformed here, 2026 not off to a good start.”
