Lopez Belloza spent most of her life in Texas, after coming to the U.S. when she was a child with her mother, who was seeking asylum. She is now a college student with a full scholar ship to Babson College. At a hearing this week, court records show the government "forthrightly acknowledges that it made a mistake." The court is now considering mediating the dispute and may allow Belloza to return to the United States.

She was arrested two years later on 27 August 2022. Though she was 17 years old at the time of the webinar, she was prosecuted as an adult. Her health is now deteriorating, and her bail applications were rejected repeatedly. Khadija's next bail hearing will be scheduled after 10th November. Khadija should be in university, studying for her degree, not in jail waiting for her fate to be decided under a draconian law. TMZ first reported that the British political commentator had been arrested by federal agents and detained by ICE in Alexandria, Louisiana. BAIER: "Political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos is in ICE custody tonight. The British national was arrested by federal agents and is being detained in Alexandria, Louisiana, facing deportation." DHS said Yiannopoulos overstayed his visa and failed to appear for an immigration hearing, resulting in a final order of removal on July 22. He is now on his way back to the United Kingdom.
