Merry Christmas! 🎄 We have a special gift to Super !Boring supporters… a new skin, Bricks! I had a lot of fun with this one. I don't know the first thing I ever built, but I’m pretty certain it was built with these little colorful toy bricks that showed up one Christmas morning. With Bricks, we wanted to honor Builders. From our earliest moments, these toy bricks taught us one of life's most pivotal lessons—that despite how it looks, the world around us is not fixed. It was built by others just like us. Australia produces about 21,600 — and roughly half are from overseas. One side is building a civilization-scale industrial machine. The other is asking whether mining, agriculture and imported engineers can somehow make it a peer competitor. It is a scale mismatch being marketed as competition. China has shipyards, high-speed rail, batteries, EVs, robotics, machine tools, drones, power equipment, electronics, AI, and the world’s deepest manufacturing ecosystem. Australia has iron ore, universities, agriculture and a very confident panel discussion. The serious question is not how Australia competes with China. It is why anyone thought these were comparable industrial systems in the first place. You cannot PowerPoint your way across a 60:1 engineering gap.
