We need to be done with “asylum seekers” completely. For the most part these are dysfunctional rejects and misfits, which is why so many of them come to western countries and immediately start killing and raping. Let them seek asylum somewhere else.

BREAKING: Joe Biden has just taken executive action to bar any immigrants from seeking asylum in the United States unless they have done so through legal means. In order to seek asylum, immigrants must make an appointment and seek it through a legal port of entry. Anyone who comes here illegally and then tries for asylum will not be granted that asylum.

The Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has said that asylum seekers who break the law or work illegally are to be thrown out of Government-funded accommodation and lose their support payments. Speaking at an event in London, Shabana Mahmood also said that a small number of failed asylum seekers will be offered an “increased incentive payment” of £10,000 per person to leave Britain under a pilot scheme. The Home Secretary said the Government would seek to echo reforms introduced in Denmark.

🚨ASYLUM SEEKERS DESERVE MORE MONEY AND BETTER HOUSING🚨 Senedd members urged the Government to give asylum seekers more money and better housing. In a statement titled "Refugee Week: Wales a Nation of Sanctuary", Julie James said she was "frustrated" the request was ignored. The requests, made in 2018, provide further clarity on the purpose of the Nation of Sanctuary policy. James confirmed Welsh Government "advocated for increasing financial support for asylum seekers awaiting decisions, additional money for local authorities to support asylum seekers in their area and improved asylum accommodation standards". James condemned the Government for failing to increase the money paid to asylum seekers. "Unfortunately, to say the least, the UK Government does not appear to have incorporated our recommendations in the design of their forthcoming asylum accommodation contracts or significantly increased financial support in the asylum system," she said. "It is no secret that we are often frustrated by the UK Government's decisions in relation to asylum and migration matters," she added. James also criticised "negative effects" of what she considered hardline UK Government policies on asylum, and confirmed she planned to intervene. "We are continuing to consider improvements that we can make to support those seeking sanctuary, including looking at extending eligibility for education grants and concessionary transport to asylum seekers," she said. A request to ease the restrictions on asylum seekers' access to public money was also made. James claimed this was essential to integration and urged the Home Office "not to undermine this intention by placing Welsh Government funding streams on the list of prohibited public funds in the immigration rules". James' statement was preceded by a performance by "Oasis", a Welsh Government funded choir for asylum seekers. She urged colleagues to demonstrate to them that "Wales, a small nation, punches above its weight when it comes to providing sanctuary". Senedd members have, in the past few weeks, placed significant emphasis on the term "integration", claiming this is the real purpose of the Nation of Sanctuary policy. Yet their approach to integration, of giving more money and better housing to asylum seekers, will have the effect of encouraging more to come. The policy must be scrapped.

People land on a beach in Kent, you take them straight back to France.. You therefore break the model of the people smugglers" Anushka Asthana, "Shouldn't you be trying to get that?" David Cameron, "(Yes) Because of the situation we are in (having left the EU)" The UK has participated in the Dublin process since it was inaugurated in 1990. When the UK left the EU, the UK left the Dublin agreement and we no longer have the automatic right to return asylum seekers back to France.
