Make Claude Code 10x more powerful! Code Context is an MCP plugin that brings semantic code search to Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or any AI coding agent. Full codebase indexing means richer context and better code generation. 100% open-source.

This is how you move from flashy to actually useful.

Full codebase indexing for better context is key. Good to see it open-source.

Really like that it integrates with the regular coding assistants. Thanks Akshay!

You're welcome! :)

Code search is great, but true 10x comes from intent modeling.. Understanding *why* code exists unlocks next-level generation.. Thoughts?

Real stuff!

Any benchmarks though? I find that agents performing a couple grep commands is usually more than enough to find the right information.

This is how you turn a good AI coder into a great one.

Absolutely! 💯

@tomermeirovich

do you have any idea of how does it perform compared to Serena MCP?

@yippaiz hello

This is exactly what AI coding tools need.

Glad you found it helpful! It’s indeed powerful!

This sounds amazing, Akshay! Excited to see how Code Context will enhance the coding experience. Keep up the great work! #OpenSource

this tool will change the game, clean integration for real context boosting. definitely checking this out

Benchmark? How do you know it actually helps?

Is this the coding revolution or just another debugged daydream?

Love this. Full codebase indexing is exactly what’s been missing for most AI coding tools, context is everything when you’re debugging or adding new features.

Mmm this looks interesting — especially for large repos. Do you have any comparison of the workflow with and without MCP? Would love to understand the real impact.

Sounds interesting! Worth exploring.

@readwise save

Any evidence of “10x more powerfulness”?

Thanks for sharing, Akshay! Amazing to see the developer community building powerful tools like this with Zilliz Cloud under the hood! 🙌

sounds cool, but isn't "10x more powerful" kinda overused? 🤔 i mean, semantic search is handy, but real power comes from how well it integrates with your workflow. plus, having full codebase indexing is great if it doesn't slow everything down. curious to see if it really delivers on that promise.

Are we already looped back to Cursor? CC is good because of it's research capabilities where Cursor and the folks are doing semantic search which works far inferior.

this looks pretty useful for devs. nice to see full codebase indexing in the mix.

solid idea. i actually built something similar but skipped MCP entirely, just a CLI. any agent that runs bash can use it, zero integration needed. the interesting part is fusing multiple search strategies instead of just vector search alone, you get way more accurate results that way. been pretty happy with it tbh

That’s a game-changer! Full codebase indexing + semantic search = massive boost in coding accuracy. Can’t wait to try it with Claude Code!

Anthropic locked me out of CC for three or four days :/ so for now: 10 * 0 = 0

Thank you @akshay_pachaar for sharing! Do you reckon the Code Context MCP will perform better than code-search solutions already implemented by Cursor, Claude Code, etc?

Wow, love it! Thank you for sharing!

@akshay_pachaar , how dyu think it compares to Augment Code's Context Engine?

You forgot to mention this is not free and charged on a api usage

You can self host the Milvus vector db and use it, in the exact same manner. So no need to pay for ziliz cloud.

This works great with claude-code-open too! It has built-in MCP support so plugins like Code Context integrate seamlessly. Plus you get Web IDE, multi-agent orchestration, and 37+ tools out of the box.

How does this compare to something like repoprompt, from your experience
