Malicious charging cables look exactly like normal ones. The cable is the clearest example. looks like a standard Apple Lightning or USB-C cable. a hidden chip inside gives an attacker remote access to your device the moment you plug it in. what it can do: — log every keystroke...

THIS $290 MAGNETIC SSD IS ALSO A 5-IN-1 HUB WITH HDMI 2.1 AND A 10,000 RPM FAN. IT SNAPS TO YOUR PHONE LIKE A POWER BANK, THEN TURNS IT INTO A POCKET WORKSTATION. that transparent slab is the SHARGE Disk Pro. it is storage, cooling, ports and power passthrough inside a credit-card-sized frame. what is hiding behind the clear shell: 1TB, 2TB or 4TB of built-in TLC storage up to 10Gbps transfer speed HDMI with 4K at 144Hz or 8K at 30Hz output one 10Gbps USB 3.0 port one USB 2.0 port for a keyboard, mouse or another accessory USB-C power input up to 100W, with up to 80W delivered through the integrated cable a magnetic back that keeps the whole setup attached to your phone the tiny fan automatically spins between 7,000 and 10,000 rpm. turbo mode locks it at 10,000 rpm when long transfers start producing heat. there is even a physical switch that turns the storage off while leaving the hub available. connect it to a phone and you can record video straight to external storage, move camera files, attach a monitor and keep charging from one device. connect it to a handheld or laptop and the same slab becomes the drive and the dock. the honest line: $289.90 buys the 1TB version, and the 10Gbps interface tops out around 1GB/s in ideal conditions. this is not the fastest or cheapest way to buy a terabyte. it is the cleanest way to carry an SSD, hub, display output, charging passthrough and active cooling as one magnetic object. bookmark & watch today ↓

🛜 Remember LAN parties? I do LAN means "local area network" and it was essentially the internet but locally only in your home or company in the late 90s and early 2000s So you could connect to other computers to play games or share files, kinda like Airdrop but via a cable and 30 years ago, people would even meet up at some person's house and bring their entire computer (back then a big PC tower, CRT monitor, keyboard and mouse) and everyone would connect to each other Which is were you'd get all the WaReZ games, MP3 music, etc. cause nobody had internet yet, or if you did it was super slow, so LAN was much faster to transfer files I know Windows 3.11 did have support for LAN networking via NetBEUI and it "should" work, but of course on I don't have a network cable that goes to an Ethernet network hub to other computers But...we could just act like we do? I asked AI to build a virtual Ethernet hub (a hub routes traffic) that acts like a local LAN, but instead of connecting physical computers in a home, it connects other browser sessions on the internet that have running Windows 3.11 open at any time, and with DHCP it can assign an IP to every browser session dynamically, so they literally all become part of a local LAN on the internet! It runs on a virtual NE2000 network card that sends its network data not to a network cable but via Websockets to wss://pieter.com And it works, well kinda, I just started and its' not perfect, but I'm able to PING in MS-DOS from one tab to the other! Next is setting it up inside Windows 3.11!

Bash is all you need! Which is why I'm introducing my holiday project: just-bash just-bash is a pretty complete implementation of bash in TypeScript designed to be used as a bash tool by AI agents. Because it turns out agents love exploring data via shell scripts, even beyond coding. It comes with grep, sed, awk and the 99th percentile features that an agent like Claude Code or Cursor would use. In fact, Claude Code can use it for secure bash execution. In the package - A bash-tool for AI SDK - A binary for use by yourself or your coding agents - An overlay filesystem to feed files to your agent securely - A Vercel Sandbox compatible API, so you can quickly upgrade to a real VM if you need to run binaries - An example AI agent that explores the just-bash code base using just-bash - I imported the Oils shell bash compatibility suite and just-bash passes a very good chunk What is interesting about this codebase: It was essentially entirely written by Opus 4.5. Coding agents love bash and they are good at reproducing it. They are also great at text-book recursive descent parsers and AST tweet-walk interpreters. That said, it is, like, a lot of code and I didn't read it all 😅. This is very much a hack, but it also seems to be _really_ useful. I haven't really found anything agents want to use that it doesn't support and it's fast and secure (caveats apply). It doesn't have write access to your computer and the filesystem is given a root that the agent cannot escape from. Find it at Related: Our recent blog post how we migrated our data analysis agent to bash tools and achieved incredible quality improvements The video shows the example agent investigating the just-bash code base

Cable Zercher Slant Board Squat This is a very cool exercise I have started doing with the following beneficial mechanics: - Slant Board (Heels Elevated): The incline shifts your center of gravity forward, allowing for greater knee flexion, a deeper squat for those with limited mobility and a more upright torso. This puts an extreme emphasis on the quadriceps, particularly the vastus medialis (VMO) or teardrop muscle. - Zercher Position: Holding the load in the crooks of your elbows forces your upper back and core to work harder to prevent the weight from pulling your torso forward. This is a very natural force pattern that has great carryover to real life applications. - Safety/Stability: The cable acts as a guide, making it easier to maintain your balance on the slant board while focusing entirely on the muscle contraction, good for those who want to push the legs with a bit more “safety” than a free weight squat. Unlike a barbell where the tension changes through the range of motion (getting "easier" at the top), the cable provides constant mechanical tension throughout the entire squat. It is an exceptional movement for building teardrop quad definition and improving knee stability, as well as core bracing. I like to do it 6 or so sets, high volume repetitions - pyramiding up from low weight to high with minimal rest times - focusing on achieving the most brutal lactic acid build up that I can in the legs, done at the start of a workout. Even though the weight isn’t hugely high on the cable machine, it still packs a massive punch. Try it out!
