What more does the Indian government need to hear? Imagine a 1982 Mercedes that came all the way from the UK for our Himalayan expedition. It ran perfectly there, but after just 5–6 days in India, it started misfiring due to the ethanol-blended fuel. We replaced the fuel pump, injectors everything and yet the issue persisted. Clearly, the fuel mix is to blame. A car that’s driven thousands of miles flawlessly abroad got ruined here within a week. Now it’s being towed back to the UK. Thank you, India, for this experience and for damaging not just the car, but our image while representing the country.
