When White men ran the country.

When small hats didnt own the media

We lived amongst giants once. American culture has been destroyed to the point where incredible people like him are kept from influencing, kept from molding public perception.

I’ve never heard anyone truthfully or successfully slander this man. Fred Rogers was a great man. 🇺🇸 💪

Dude was so based I’m pretty sure he knew exactly what the future would hold if we didn’t embrace certain ideals

Being from the UK I have no idea who these people are but those words are beautiful and every child should hear them. Bookmarked for my grandchildren ❤️ Thank you

I love this clip. the part that precedes it is even better, starting when the senator began with cynicism and impatience and how Mr Rogers completely disarmed him with patient kindness.

One of the greats amongst us all. His wife even said he was "insufferably" kind lol. (Not her exact words but something along those lines)

This dates from the time when America was thriving and everyone’s dream on earth was to live there.

Narrated by Abu Hurairah, The Messenger of Allah, (Muhammad) ﷺ said: “The strong man is not the one who can overpower others. The strong man is the one who controls himself when he is angry.” Sahih al Bukhari 6114 & Sahih Muslim 2609

From Wikipedia Children's entertainer Fred Rogers testified before the United States Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Communications. On May 1, 1969, he appeared at the congressional enquiry to oppose a proposed 50% budget cut to federal funding for the newly established Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The Nixon administration had proposed slashing the funding from $20 million down to $10 million. During his famous six-minute address, Rogers spoke passionately about the emotional and mental health needs of children, famously winning over the initially cynical subcommittee chairman, Senator John Pastore. "The testimony is credited with securing the full $20 million funding and is regarded as a pivotal moment in the history of public broadcasting in the United States."

Lindsey Clancy’s supporters need to listen to this.

Man I loved the way they talked back then I wish they talked like this still

He really was an extraordinary man. That was also a more civilized time. We have lost so much. I appreciate you sharing this.

@alpha5tate Fred Rogers was a staple when I was a child. What an amazing man. His teaching is so needed today.

what happened to our politicians? they seemed so reasonable then.

We need people like Mr. Rogers today.

I tear up every time I watch this. God bless Mr Rogers

HE USED TO SING THOSE POSITIVE WORDS TO THOSE CHILDREN & NOW A DAYS YOUVE GOT THESE FUCKIN DRAG QUEENS GETTIN UP A GROUP OF BOUT 20 - 25 KIDS & WILL READ EM THESE FUCKED UP BOOKS BOUT BEIN FUCKIN QUEERS & SHIT ITS ABSOLUTELY FUCKIN RIDICULOUS I SWEAR I'D STRANGLE A MOTHER FUCKER

🚨 Yes, true masculinity is having the power to effect change, even with vioIence if necessary, but having the spiritual foundation to have true discernment as to what is right, the heart to take that correct action out of love, and the self-controI to do that instead of giving in to seIfishness. ...and that raises a secondary question: 🤔 How do men have the necessary foundation and heart to act as Fred rightly suggests? It won't be in natural man to do so, as darkness Iies in post-fall man's heart (Gen 8:21), which is why there is so much eviI, increasingly, at the hands of men in these Matt 24 days. We cannot be strong, good men apart from Jesus Christ. I've seen it for decades, after having lived on both sides for years. ...and folks think they know, think they understand, and dismiss. But, do you really know?

So funny that he never did it for money truly just for the love of the world’s children .

The kid in me misses this man terribly! What an inspiration he was.

Chimps and most southern hemisphere dwellers will never comprehend this video.

My mother met him once and said that he was the nicest and kindest person she ever met in her life. I watched him regularly as a child back in the 70’s.

Bless this man. Had someone told me this as a kid thing's would be so much better now. I needed this

Simpler times with pure intent. We could learn a lot. No indoc. For kids to be what they are not.

He was a real one.

Mr Rogers #respect

😭 I miss how decent we once were.

The bio on Mr Roger’s is well worth reading

Fred Rogers is a legend! We should lean back on his life lessons. All his teachings were very loving, simple, and based in common sense.

Unfortunately, he was surrounded by so much evil in his work, which made him sick because he knew it. Gone too soon. RIP 🙏💕

We needed people like him in office.

Fred was a decent man. A life well lived

MANNN MR ROGERS WAS THE FUCKIN SHIT... THIS WAS MY DUDE BACK IN THE FUCKIN 90s . I SURE AS HELL MISS THAT SHIT DAMN I FUCKIN CUSS A LOT HAHA

America needs a Mr. Rogers 2.0
