I never learned division like this. This is called short division (some call it horizontal division), and apparently hundreds of thousands of people are seeing it for the first time too. No long division setup, no writing out every subtraction step - just working through it left to right. Kids today have lower math scores than we did as children. Did you learn division this way, or is this brand new to you too?
