#PRAGMATA Demo. Ray Tracing Off vs On. Ray Tracing in this game is quite efficient and doesn’t cost much but at the same time its quality is not particularly high. At native 1440p, there is noticeable noise in RT reflections. The game could definitely benefit from additional RT quality settings, or support for DLSS Ray Reconstruction and FSR Ray Regeneration.

Crimson Desert can suffer from a lot of ghosting and glitching issues with its native Ray Tracing in some indoor areas like this one. Turning on Ray Regeneration (AMD) or Ray Reconstruction (Nvidia) fixes these problems, however it does come at a performance cost.

Here's a comparison between FSR 4 and Native TAA in The Last Of Us Part 2, a Game that supported FSR 4 day-one. As you can see in this comparison (Hopefully X compression hasn't ruined it) FSR 4 Performance Mode holds up extremely well. The second part of the Video showcases FSR 4 Balanced Mode. I've been playing this Game at 4K and switched between different FSR 4 Modes (Performance, Balanced, Quality and Native) and the differences are not noticeable at all except for the fact that FSR 4 Native AA looks miles better than Native TAA

AMD has the opportunity to make the price to performance king. RX 9070 XT will be miles better than RTX 5080 if priced appropriately. We know by now that FSR 4 is miles better than FSR 3.1 as shown in this video here (credit: Hardware Unboxed) With the right marketing and highlighting the performance and quality jump that these new GPUs have, I could see AMD gaining a lot of GPU market share.

I tested out Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing turned on with RX 9070 XT now that FSR Redstone is out. By using the new FSR Redstone and FSR ML Based Frame-Gen, the game reaches up to 130FPS in 1440p with FSR set to Performance Mode. The performance gains are not that much higher compared to the previous versions of FSR but the image quality got a huge upgrade, especially when using Frame-Gen. This ML based Frame Gen is much better than the previous version as it gets rid of most artifacts and ghosting caused by the previous version. If for some reason you always wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing turned on on an AMD GPU, now you can enjoy a playable experience with 100+ FPS on an RX 9070 XT. I still don't recommend it though as the frame pacing and input lag still feels off for me, I'd just rather play this without Frame Gen and Path Tracing. I'm going to test out Black Myth: Wukong next
