“maybe this was happiness. a feeling that eşref never felt before he was experiencing today for the first time. living like a normal person, to shop, to worry about a broken pipe, to be away from the richness.. nisan could offer him all of this.” #eşrefrüya

I’m heartbroken for Eşref too. Poor sweet boy just wants one good day. One. Tek. They didn’t even have enough time to enjoy that watermelon she picked out. 🍉. Dang. Life is hard on my brother.

This scene, and especially these lines, caught my attention. I find them quite interesting, as if they mark pivotal moments - not used just as metaphors, but as turning points that define the characters’ lives and the story. Each experience seems to reflect a shared trajectory between Eşref and Nisan, also possibly suggesting that what Eşref has lived through might be mirrored in Nisan’s future as well. - Like the first murder – This was a major turning point for Eşref. After it happened, his life was never the same. And it makes me wonder if this is also a kind of foreshadowing - will Nisan cross a similar line? Could this be the moment where her life changes irreversibly too? Or was it just a reference to Eşref’s first murder that affected Nisan’s life as well? But one thing is for sure - this is where their shared path, their shared trajectory of life, begins to appear. - Like falling in love – Eşref has loved Rüya for as long as he can remember, and yet he fell for her again, as Nisan. Nisan, in turn, falls in love with Eşref. That love becomes a defining moment for both of them. After it, nothing remains the same. - Like betrayal – This one feels layered. It could reference Kadir’s betrayal, synchronized with Eşref’s suspicion that Nisan might have betrayed him too. And the kiss that followed is another turning point. It could also be a foreshadowing of betrayal yet to come. - Like being born – This seems to reflect the pain and injustice both Eşref and Nisan have endured since childhood. They’ve been shaped by suffering they never chose. Their only “crime” was being born into a world that was already cruel to them. - Like death / maybe – This line feels more uncertain, more speculative. “Maybe” suggests hesitation. Death is usually final - not a turning point, but an ending. Unless, of course, it’s not the end for the person dying… or it becomes a defining moment for those left behind. In short, these lines seem to be the highlight of their lives - the story of Eşref and Rüya. With the story unfolding, the full weight of these moments will come into focus, and their meaning will become clearer. #EşrefRüya #EşSan
