Mayor Brandon Johnson says he still believes Chicago is the best place for the Bears and that Indiana can’t compete. He says he previously proposed that the Bears pay for 72% of a new stadium that would then be owned by the public. Why would the Bears ever consider that? Especially in a city like Chicago that has more hom*cides than any other city in the US, run by a mayor who had the worst approval rating of any mayor in US history. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson had a ridiculous meltdown on Tuesday when asked what he’s going to do to bring crime down if he refuses federal help. He said crime is down and he’s using every tool available to him, except federal, of course. Johnson then says “jails, and incarceration, and law enforcement is a sickness that has not led to safe communities.” With an attitude like that it’s no surprise that Chicago has more m*rders than any other city in the US for 13 years straight. Johnson also plays the race card, of course, during his angry yelling. He says he’ll help the people in this community because they’ll black like him. (nbcchicago on TT)

Instead, he ran to Rachel Maddow for a gushing softball interview about him taking on the “big bad” President Donald J. Trump and the looming deportation raids. Maddow, ever the hypocrite, slammed @TomHoman_ but ignored Johnson’s dishonesty about Chicago’s out-of-control migrant spending. She even swooned over CPS, conveniently ignoring Johnson’s cozy CTU ties that keep draining Chicago taxpayers. No wonder Chicago’s S&P credit rating tanked—Johnson’s too busy prioritizing the Venezuelan migrants he calls “indigenous people” over actual residents.
