I've tried my hardest to listen to this guy on multiple occasions to see if I could ever make any sense or logic out of his tax stuff, but I still can’t. The way he's been discussing this tax, it's as if he has a percentage of our tax because this is beyond just working for Nigeria. Disturbing part is that, this guy has already proposed deducting money from banks for jobs that they do not provide to the citizens. Why does he have to talk about taxation all the time, as if Nigerians haven't been paying any taxes at all, especially now that we have a very terrible economy and a discouraging business environment that kills businesses at ease? My question is: what has the government done for the citizens, and what exactly is the value of being a Nigerian this time that motivates this government to overtax the population? Jobs❌ Social welfare❌ Security❌ Good economy to grow business❌ Power supply❌ Good roads❌ Water supply❌ Health care❌ Education❌ They want to tax us like citizens of developed nations without governing us like governments of these nations. This is crazy!😳🙄

This is now the 16th year in a row the MoD has failed its audit. It’s been unable to pass an audit ever since it was required to meet the same international financial reporting standards expected of any multi-billion-pound organisation. That figure comes directly from the council itself, released through an FOI I submitted. This is the same council now telling residents it needs to put council tax up because there isn’t enough money for frontline services. Let’s be clear: Tower Hamlets only raises around £100m a year from council tax. A 5% rise brings in about £5m. They could have avoided this entirely by cutting just 1–2% from their spending on consultants etc over the last few years. Instead, they’re reaching straight into residents’ pockets. And remember, this is a council whose own auditors have exposed: ❌ finances that don’t add up ❌ contracts that don’t exist ❌ procurement rules bypassed ❌ money missing from care contracts ❌ hundreds of active fraud investigations So forgive residents for not trusting them to spend even more money wisely. People in Tower Hamlets are fed up. They know this isn’t working. Something has to change.
