This story is so crazy for multiple reasons. First and most importantly: It reflects poorly on Charlie who—according to Candace—apparently started having Ben at Am Fest, inviting Ben on his show to promote his books, and tweeting in Ben’s favor because…donors pressured him too? And then he…ditched Candace at TPUSA events like Am Fest because…donors told him too? I feel like in their rabid quest to somehow implicate Jewish donors for Charlie’s murder, Candace and her fans are making Charlie look really weak-willed, disloyal, fake, and money-hungry. Which doesn’t seem like he was. Also, there’s no evidence for any of this—no evidence of what Charlie allegedly told her, no evidence of what Andrew allegedly told her, no evidence Ben actually sent an intern to try to embarrass Candace onstage at YWLS. No one ever copped to it when she got upstage and called them out, and certainly Ben never copped to it. This could’ve just been another Candace lie or yet another time she was given bad info and ran with it. She enjoys drama, stirring the pot, and being the center of attention at all times. Lastly, she’s referred several times now to how “they” tried to take everything from her—her name, her reputation, her platform, her money, etc. Gosh you’d think no one has ever been fired before. You’d think no one had ever had beef with a former boss before. You’d think she was the first to go through this tragedy. Bottom line is DW made her famous. And when she was fired, they didn’t have the power to take that name and fame from her—even if they wanted to. She didn’t have to start over from scratch. She had a name, fame, her audience, money, and people (like me) who supported her. She acts like DW “de-personed” her—or tried. And I say ALL of this as someone who supported Candace at the time and publicly agreed with that tweet of hers; it has always bothered me how some people act like no innocents exist in Gaza. But this all just absurd at this point. Sounds like her more sour grapes that she was once again excluded.

We are forced to accept their edicts from on high – we should not just trust them. I don’t trust them, nor do I support them. They are a dangerous beast indeed. A lover of big government and the absolute sanitisation of public discourse - Grant is, make no mistake - the establishment’s most dangerous weapon in their war for our consciousness. With this kind of behaviour by American ICE agents, where will America find the moral authority to chastise dictatorships around the world, not just in Africa but anywhere else, if its own state security agencies behave in the same repressive manner? It has become impossible for America to point fingers at African or Latin American regimes that abuse state power against their citizens when it is now exhibiting similar conduct. We have witnessed the First Amendment being undermined and people being detained merely for expressing opinions that differ from those of the Trump administration. This signals a worrying erosion of freedom of speech in a country once revered as a beacon of liberty. It is deeply sad to watch a nation that once represented hope and managed to redeem itself from its past of sponsoring coups in the 1960s and 1970s now lose the moral high ground it had fought so hard to reclaim. Who would have thought that we would one day see an American administration attacking the media, dismissing it as fake news, and weaponising populist narratives to manipulate the ignorant, the uneducated, and the unread? Who would have imagined that the United States government would publicly, before the eyes of the world, abuse its own citizens in the very manner it once condemned African regimes for doing? This has emboldened people with the most unjust and regressive views towards other races. It has given new confidence to racists, not only in America but across the world. We are seeing it in Europe, where far-right movements are gaining ground, and in Britain, where figures aligned with the current American administration, such as Elon Musk, are amplifying racist voices, supporting their rallies, and legitimising their causes in ways unseen for a generation. But it is what it is, it is now the new world order. We must learn to live with it, to confront it intelligently, and to manage ourselves within it without losing our moral clarity or surrendering the values of justice, equality, and human dignity.

I had to take a breath yesterday for two reasons. I’ve been doing this now every day for six years because I believe that amidst these dark, deeply concerning times, the values that I learned to love about America having worked and travelled there so many times over the years remain, and have not been lost. The visceral hate on display following the victory of Zohran Mamdani in New York is palpable and made me feel physically sick. Then I watched the Pentagon briefing with Pete Hegseth veins extended in his neck, as he attacked the press in a way that was a first for me. I have never seen anything quite like it. It was deeply disturbing and very dangerous. It goes to the very core of how a narcissistic sociopath has infected the soul of a nation like a malignant cancer that is eating America alive. This is a man that is not just dangerous, but truly evil. It is chilling and at the same time unspeakably terrifying. America is being held hostage by what I can only describe as an international crime boss prepared to do ANYTHING in his quest for absolute power. It is my honest belief that if he was faced with the choice of losing power or committing genocide on immigrants in the US, he would volunteer to turn on the gas taps, that’s who he is and the world should be absolutely terrified, because faced with even being questioned on just the truth of events, he’s prepared to risk the security of millions as vengeance for having the audacity to question a pathological liar. If as seems likely, Iran moved its enriched Uranium prior to the attack, which Trump has dismissed despite numerous experts suggesting was highly likely, there is now no consideration of a renewed threat. He’s prepared to dismiss any threat so he can double down on claims he made before even initial battle damage assessments could be made. Do people understand how grossly irresponsible this is on the part of the most powerful man on earth? It does not make America safer, it is just another layer of illusion in a tapestry of lies he has woven since taking office in January. It makes NOBODY safer, it simply creates the illusion of safety. Just like the illusion of a thriving economy. It’s all lies being reinforced by a bunch of enablers and sycophants. Trump has normalised the state abduction of civilians by masked men in unmarked vehicles unprepared to identify themselves. Many of these men aren’t law enforcement officers, they are thugs employed by the state for the sole purpose of intimidation. They are not searching for the dangerous criminals they promised to seek and deport. Instead, they are going for soft targets, turning up at asylum court hearings having been advised that those attending hearings are being stripped of their right to remain at the hearings, thus changing their status, making them eligible to be deported. They are turning up to nurseries, schools farms to terrorise people whose only crime is to not be white. It is cruelty personified and his base is cheering, as children are traumatised and zip tied, women are assaulted as immigrants are hunted for sport by a bunch of racist thugs employed for the specific purpose of traumatising the immigrant population as a deterrent. It doesn’t stop there as they are taken to for profit detention centres where they are often put to work for a dollar a day, left without food or water for extended period as their human rights are trampled on for fun, to the point where some are now dying in custody.
