Yeah. That's crap. Lebron has spent 20 years NOT being Jordan. Lebron is the GOAT.

Jordan’s an ambassador of the game and makes a fortune selling the younger generation shoes. He’s a businessman now not a basketball player. He has zero reasons to say he’s believes he’s the goat and lots of zeros to protect by saying the right thing. He is the GOAT

It’s not about paving the way. His accomplishments were weaker, not as hard. 🤷‍♂️

LeBron is the best basketball player I've ever seen but I'd never argue with someone if they think it's MJ. They both carried the league.

The debate should always be the best of their era. It should be Wilt vs Russell, Magic vs Bird. Not Shaq vs Kareem or Cousy vs Curry.

My argument for a long time has been, there is no way to anoint one GOAT. When the current conversation does not include Wilt, it’s an unserious conversation. The only way to have the GOAT conversation is to admit GOAT has to be plural. There simply is just not ONE!

That’s difference between him n Lebron right there. Notice he doesn’t crown himself, & shows respect to those who came before & after him. Now look at how Lebron talks, and how he uses marketing to elevate him for an agenda.

There are goats in all generations.sure one player who plays over 20 yrs is going to have the numbers does it really make him a goat.nobody remembers the 50-60’s,70-79.Russell has 11 championships rings that makes him The all-time Goat in my book.

The interview itself demonstrates why HE IS THE GOAT: Humility on top of exceptional ability. There is only one MJ and the rest are wannabes. @NBA

he makes a good point also about the list of the greatest players that always come out now rarely include anyone before the 1990s. How is Kareem and Bill Russell not on every single top 10 or top 15 list?

For those who didn't experience MJ in the 90s, you finally got a taste of it in Brunson. JB has shown them what being a generational clutch player does for a team. He's the most efficient clutch player since MJ. No one has come anywhere near MJ in the past 30 years. No LeBron. Not Kobe. Not Dirk. Not Duncan. No one. Now imagine JB but 4" taller with superior strength, speed, and talent to go along with DPOY skills. That was MJ. And when he turned on his clutch takeover switch there was nothing anyone could do to stop him. Kobe and LeBron never had a full clutch takeover mode. Kobe took a lot of shots in the clutch, but was never as efficient as JB, let alone MJ.

No. Kobe Bryant is the greatest and most legendary of all these players." Charles Barkley: "Kobe Bryant is the best player I’ve ever seen other than Michael Jordan." Matt Barnes: "To me, Jordan is 1 and Kobe is 1B." Olden Polynice says LeBron winning a championship with a 4th team still won't change anyone's mind in the GOAT debate. Jay Wagers : “So LeBron, if he wins a championship in Philadelphia, that's four teams, four championships.” “First player ever that has... no one's ever done that.” Byron Scott : “No one's ever done that.” Jay Wagers : “Could somebody... what you guys are saying, the dynamics of the NBA have changed over the years and players have the power and the control now.” “Can someone still be the GOAT in that position? The greatest of all time, or move forward in the future?” “Are we talking about LeBron or just in general” Byron Scott : “or any young player coming up?” Jay Wagers : “I think just in general.” Olden Polynice : “No one's doing what he's done. So let's get that out of the way.” “And the whole GOAT thing... you guys know how I feel about that, okay?” “It's about respecting everybody without diminishing others, in my personal opinion.” “He wins a championship, he's elevated a little bit more in the conversation, but it's not going to change people's minds.” “The Jordan fans are going to love Jordan, the Kobe fans are going to love Kobe, and his fans... you can't get them to freaking agree if the sky is blue or not. So it doesn't matter.” Jay Wagers : “If LeBron wins one in Philly in four teams, is that going to change anybody's mind?” Olden Polynice : “No.” Byron Scott : “All it's going to do, I think it's just going to... he's going to get more people that'll say he's the GOAT.” “You know, but it's still going to be a debate, and it's still subjective.” Olden Polynice : “It enhances LeBron fans' argument. That's all it will do.” Byron Scott : “Right, it puts him closer to an MJ as far as, you know, the way people are going to look at it.” “But still, you know, the one thing that's going to always kind of set them apart as far as I'm concerned, you know, MJ got six, and he did it on six occasions.” “He went to the Finals six times, never lost.”
