Oh, no! Not the thing barely anyone uses!

wait so they're actually putting a timer on cloud gaming now? that kinda defeats the whole point of selling it as a convenience thing

I announce open rebellion against @XBOX

This feels like the endgame for a lot of video game execs. Not only do you not own your games, but pay by the hour to play on the cloud.

Hope PlayStation doesn’t follow

This is rhe future of all gaming and everyone who picked digital is to balme. YOU ALL made this possible. Once the last company stops releasing physical games and we are all digital, they will transition all of us to full streaming and then everyone will pay by the hour.

Lol F Xbox

Will they pull you out of ranked play and yell it's bedtime?!

So xbox AND sony now are trying their best to be as anti consumer as possible? LOL

Watch in 2 years they'll cancel cloud gaming saying user percentage dropped to low. Then they'll go on to say something like they don't know what went wrong

who tf uses that trash anyway?

I never thought that in 2026 I would have switched back to retro gaming and pirating everything

I tried their service like a year ago. It had consistently worse performance than my 10 yo computer.

This is an XBOX.* * For like 15 hours a month max. I don't know how popular this feature is or was.

I never really used it so its okay

Well they've just officially killed off cloud streaming through pure greed

When I had GPU I used cloud to sample games to see if they were my taste before DLing 100GB. But apparently there are a lot of gamers who play on their 3rd shift jobs or don't have a working console or lousy PC who are screwed. They're denouncing greed, but it costs to provide.

Sony and Microsoft are racing to the bottom for some reason. I don't understand the desire for corpos to demolish themselves. Remember when tech companies used to strive to make life and entertainment better for everyone?

Corporate greed smells rich here.

Hour caps on cloud gaming feel rough when the whole pitch is play-anywhere convenience. Curious how tight those limits actually are.
