Every civilian life lost is a tragedy. Everything has to be done to avoid it. I'm not suggesting you shouldn't mourn the Gazan civilians who were tragically killed as Israel fought a war Hamas started. But I do find it striking how the same people have gone silent when civilians are slaughtered on purpose by their own government in Iran. You don't have to spotlight every issue. But when your sympathy is so bluntly selective, it does raise the question: what motivates you? Because it isn’t human rights.
