Nice changes to a massive inside takeaway with of of my guys James You'll see in the "before" video, James would shoot his hands OUT & away from his body, forcing the club excessively inside & behind him. The momentum of this movement would cause the club to get too far across the line & create an excessive over the top movement, late shallowing & he'd get the club stuck behind & hit block cuts Now, the takeaway is less inside & the momentum of the club now allows him to set the club more down the line at the top, reducing the chances of the club getting stuck behind him I don't mind the little over the top hand path & steeper shaft in transition (relative to P3 - lead arm parallel in the downswing) Still work to do & to perform at speed, but we are getting better! Short clip but the footballing IQ from everyone involved top: Burgess; one-two with Yalcouyé, moving back into space behind him—baiting the press. Brilliant touch to take Campbell out of the game. Plays the ball to Yalcouyé with a good weighted pass. Yalcouyé; Quickly moves into space & demands the ball, good touch into a very small space. Excellent composure on the ball to find Galbraith. Galbraith; Follows the ball to entice his marker. Sees Hamer (marker) press Yalcouyé, little step backwards into space, slightly scans ahead to see how much time and space he has got. Drives with the ball, plays a great pass to Franco, in the half-space who's in between the lines. Franco; In between Sheffield's defensive line + midfield line—Good positioning. Before receiving the ball, glances over his left shoulder (X2) to see where Ronald is. Sees Sheffield's LW move over to the left, so steps to the right to make the pass easier for Galbraith. On the half-turn, sets it with his left foot, *punches* the ball into right into Ronald's path. Very fine details but the movement to the execution is perfect. #Swans

No tweets last two days cuz I was doing my day job with my coach/boss Sean Foley. First swing is what I’m trying to feel. Really get to my right side, stay there during the transition and then go thru. Reason for this is I have a tendency to pull really hard with my arms and shift too early in the transition causing the club to get too far out. Then to get it back inside, I side bend late which causes too much flipping.

The thing I help hitters with the most.. (1 good way to train it👇🏼) They start on time but never actually get loaded to GO. They think they’re ready. They’re not. So they start earlier next time. Same problem. —— This is a conversation I have with almost every hitter. When is the right time for you? - Based on your load style - Based on how long your load takes - Based on the pitcher’s velo, windup, or slide step —— If that’s you, try a “loaded at release” type load. Bobby Witt. Judge. Get your hip and elbow loaded early. Then stride with it ready to fire. “The pitcher is up there for 20 seconds telling you to get ready. Shame on you if you’re not ready to swing.” ____ If I have you in the cage, what I’ll do is have you get into a no stride position, get ready to swing and I stand there for 1-4 seconds… Holding my hand out over the plate ready to snap my fingers. When I snap, you swing. Do that 4-5x. You get the quickness, readiness feeling. Then we go back to stride with moving ball and you’re trying to time up that same GO move with the ball With your foot up in the air and the GO will make the foot go down. Not foot down then swing. That typically kills quickness. This works 95% of the time I’d say! —— > Send this to a hitter who needs it > Save it for when you need it.
