@JomboyMedia That is unacceptable

This is the highlight of our 2023 season

@CoachMason33 Love these, but this one was great. Mikolas getting so pissed, and the Cubs bench laughing at him was pure gold.

Mikolas

That swing is over the top ridiculous! Players who cause injury to catchers like that should be automatically out for interference. Just like if the catcher is punished for getting too close and interferes with the batter same should be for the batter.

I've said this before...... If the catcher gets hit with a swing follow-through, the batter should be automatically called out.

great ending

@TalkinBaseball_ Mikolas beaned Happ in a wild retaliation for Contreras' accident. Baseball drama at its finest. ⚾🤕🤷♂️

When I saw the controversy over this? I knew I just had to wait for you to do the video and settle it. Happ hit the catcher by accident Mikolas threw him some chin music to make a point (or tried to hit Happ the first time but missed) Mikolas then gets greedy and plunks Happ (Disagreement begins here) Umps confer* Mikolas is rightfully tossed Umps say intentional, Mikolas says accident (Did not catch the Cards’ manager getting tossed before) *- this is the main differentiating part. Umps claim that it looked intentional. But this is baseball, umps know when a guy is getting plunked intentional 95% of the time. In most cases they don’t toss the pitcher, because he was doing his rule and playing the enforcer. But what made this ejection worthy conduct: Mikolas got greedy. The chin music was his shot at being an enforcer, even if he didn’t plunk Happ, he sent the message. There are no mulligans.

I hate when pitcher's get petty, I love baseball, but hitting someone with a 90+ fastball is ridiculous. Every "intentional" hit should be an automatic ejection and suspension without pay. It's just terrible. Let them square up like hockey if it's a big deal. But don't hit by pitch.
