Being here on these steps feels spiritual to me. I’ve stared at the Salad Days cover since I learned of Minor Threat when I was 14. I think back to that first mixtape Jared Hein gave me in class sophomore year of highschool. Hearing Minor Threat on that tape for the first time opened a new door I didn’t even know existed. It pulled me into a world that felt raw, honest, and completely alive. The Salad Days cover. Those steps. It resonates with all of us who came up in this scene. It is more than an image. It is a feeling, a moment, a shared memory. This is my second time here. The first was over 20 years ago, and I can’t find that photo anywhere. So I had to take this one for myself. Just to reconnect. To bring myself back to the music and to that version of me that first felt it. Walking up to the Dischord Records house really does feel spiritual and like a time portal to when I was a teenager and all I cared about was going to shows and listening to records with my friends. Sitting on these steps, you can feel the history in a way that is hard to explain. One day I will meet Ian MacKaye. That would be a dream.

Bono and The Edge wrote “She’s a Mystery to Me” for Roy Orbison. The song was recorded for Orbison’s 1989 album Mystery Girl, which was released posthumously. Bono woke up with the melody in his head during The Joshua Tree Tour in 1987, initially thinking it was an Orbison song. He later played it for Orbison backstage at a U2 concert in Wembley Arena, and they collaborated to complete it. Automat (1978). Composed by Romano Musumarra and Claudio Gizzi using the MCS70, a.k.a. "the rarest synth on Earth." Mario Maggi created a number of custom synths for musicians in the 1970s, though he may be best known for the Elka Synthex released in 1981. The MCS70 was certainly special, it came with 64 presets making it one of the very first fully programmable monophonic synthesizers. To showcase its versatility, composers Romano Musumarra and Claudio Gizzi suggested to EMI records that they release an album of electronic music using the synth. Everything on the record would be done with the MCS70, even the drum sounds. The result, Automat, is an incredible and pioneering album although neither composer thought it was as good as it could be. Production was rushed into a four week window, with Gizzi working on the three instrumental tracks on sided A and Musumarra working on side B. Only one MCS70 synthesizer exists, and has recently been restored. As for Automat, it's still seen as a pioneering instrumental synth album. The first copy was given to Jean Michel Jarre, who apparently loved it!

Michael Jackson’s Bad World Tour deserves to be released and celebrated in theaters worldwide! Michael Jacksons Bad World Tour started in September 1987 and ended in January 1989. While fans have seen some concerts of the first leg in 1987, they have only seen short snippets of high-quality U-Matic tape or film footage from the second and third leg of the tour. Over three decades later, the world is still waiting to see a proper HD release of the Bad Tour 1988/89. A Tour that broke world-records. We, the Fans of Michael Jackson believe it's about time to have such a release happening. Not only for our enjoyment but also for the LEGACY of the king of pop. The Bad Tour showed Michael Jackson at his peak and the world needs to see this. People of the film-crew have revealed that several shows were shot on film. Those contain at least two shows of London (Wembley), Paris, Lausanne, Liverpool & Minneapolis. Los Angeles (27. Jan. 1989) is known to be available at least on u-matic tape in a very good condition, if not even on film as well. It was revealed that in 1988 members of the crew even completely cut and color-graded a full show (16 & 35mm film) from one of the London, Wembley shows. It's also known that not all the shows were recorded on multitrack-audio. The fans wouldn't mind having an HD release with a soundboard/front of house audio mix. In addition to a HD release, a standalone Live CD of another show could be released to showcase the magic of the bad tour in HD audio as well. Members of the film-crew back then also revealed that several shows were multitracked on a soundtruck. Mentioned examples are Wembley July 16 and 15, New York, Kansas, Los Angeles (1989). On August 17, 1991, AC/DC headlined one of the most legendary concerts of their career at the Monsters of Rock Festival in Donington Park, England. It was part of The Razors Edge World Tour promoting their hit 1990 album. It was the third time they had headlined the festival, following appearances in 1981 and 1984. About 72,500 people attended. The lineup for the day included AC/DC as headliners alongside Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Queensrÿche, and The Black Crowes. The lineup at the time consisted of Brian Johnson on vocals, Angus Young on lead guitar, Malcolm Young on rhythm guitar, Cliff Williams on bass, and Chris Slade on drums. The concert lasted nearly two hours and is considered one of the band’s best live shows. They kicked off with absolute intensity, opening with “Thunderstruck”—a song that was new at the time and became an instant anthem. Visual highlights of the show included the giant bell for "Hells Bells," the real cannons at the end, the giant inflatable Rosie from "Whole Lotta Rosie," the Angus Young inflatables, and during "Money Talks," they threw thousands of fake AC/DC bills into the crowd.
