Mitch McConnell is an example of why people go to primaries and take some accountability for continuing to ignore them to give a new person a chance and end up voting for the incumbent. Term limits should exist but at some point people have to say “yeah, my guy has been good but needs to go” Right now it’s “everyone else’s guy needs to go but I lack the fortitude to force my guy /gal out.” We are in a cycle of decline for that very reason.
