@Leaflit Very cool! I just made a new prototype for my animated avatars. It takes a clip of the character in an idle animation and composites a procedurally generated mouth onto it, controlled by just your voice, no camera needed.

Mine works without a camera as well and does in depth speech analytics to enhance the raw camera capture, and it creates a single mouth mesh that is animated at runtime. There are also hotkey bindings for different animations and such. Cameras aren't needed, but the biggest complaint people have is the need for an iPhone to properly capture motion, and I am entirely eliminating that to have top tier quality motion and facial capture. Your tool is decent, although I think you overcomplicate it with the swapping of mouths instead of dynamic animation at runtime using a base mouth of the users choice for what should be animated. State based animation isn't needed anymore for the most part, however it can absolutely benefit those with lesser setups and computers. I have no idea what the system requirements will ultimately be, but they will be far higher than running your tool or Leaflit's tool for sure. Keep going with it dude, you got some cool shit there.

The mouths are dynamically animated, I created a system that can dynamically create the mouth in 15 different viseme shapes, from -90 to 90 degree head rotation, with 3 different expressions, and 5 different levels of open. So it can generate 40,725 different mouths for one configuration, before accounting for the different teeth and fang configurations.

So I'm hoping that which ever one I end up using that I'll be able to just have the jaw move. :P Or who knows. Might be funnier with the mouth on top of the mask lol
