The world’s tallest railway pier bridge is rising in Manipur! From the hills of Manipur, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision for last-mile connectivity is taking shape. The Noney Bridge -141m high and 703m long, is being built at a cost of ₹650 crore as part of the ₹21,885 crore Jiribam–Imphal railway line. The bridge is expected to be completed by March 2026, and the entire line by December 2028. As part of my 3-day visit to Manipur, I toured Noney district, reviewed project progress with DC Sharath Chandra ji, IAS, and senior officials from various departments. Infrastructure, Investment, and Water Conservation – Maharashtra on the Rise!✨ It was an overwhelming moment to be at 'TiEcon Mumbai 2025: India’s Leading Entrepreneurial Leadership Summit' in Mumbai, today. Humbled to receive the 'TiE Mumbai Hall of Fame' award at the hands of the legendary, Infosys founder Narayana Murthy ji. This award is a proud recognition of the governance model we embarked on in 2014 under the visionary leadership of our Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji. Receiving this award today is not just an honour but a realization that our efforts are making a real difference and that we are on the right path together. All these transformative infrastructure projects in Maharashtra, especially in Mumbai and MMR—be it the Coastal Road, Atal Setu, Metro Network, or the Vadhavan Project—have become a reality because of our governance, which turned aspirations into achievements. Every project has been backed by thorough study and dedicated efforts, and under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, we have worked relentlessly to make them happen. This year, we have broken all previous records—surpassing our own ₹31,000 crore investment milestone from 2016-17. In just 9 months, we have secured ₹1.39 lakh crore in investments, with 50% of the country's FDI flowing into Maharashtra. Today, Maharashtra stands as the new startup capital of India. In 1948, 76 beavers were parachuted into the Idaho wilderness as part of a relocation program by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. The program was initiated to address the growing conflict between humans and beavers in areas where people were building homes, such as Payette Lake. The beavers' natural activities, like dam building and tree cutting, were causing problems for the new residents. The relocation site, Chamberlain Basin, was chosen because it was a remote and suitable location for the beavers to thrive. However, the area was difficult to access due to the lack of roads. The solution was to use surplus parachutes from World War II to drop the beavers into their new home. A specially designed crate was created to ensure the safety of the beavers during the drop. After several test drops with a beaver named Geronimo, the project was deemed successful and continued until 1948. As a result, the beavers transformed the landscape into a lush wetland, creating a haven against fire and drought. Their descendants now live in what is part of the largest protected roadless forest in the continental United States.
