OOP is cancer

The problem isn't that OOP is bad, it's that poor programmers have historically abused and misused the OOP abstraction in the past, left, and now others have to maintain the collections of sins that is their legacy codebases.

People who say OOP is bad are generally the worse programmers you'll ever work with.

I think there are 2 different understandings in play of what exactly you mean when you say OOP is bad. The defenders seem to think of it as "just chunks of data with behavior attached", while those criticizing it are thinking of the full derived philosophy of patterns, DDD, etc.

I don't see your response to this clarification. Would love to hear your input.
