I served Ukraine as a sergeant in the 54th Mechanized Brigade, working in artillery reconnaissance in 2015–2016. After leaving the military, my life changed dramatically. I was hit by a car while crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing and suffered multiple severe injuries. I spent years bedridden and now live with a disability that keeps me largely confined to our home. My wife and I are raising three children. Because I’m unable to work, she is the only one currently earning an income for our household. Losing the income from my account has added another serious strain to our family budget.
