Most people spend retirement slowing down. At 88, Inderjit Singh Sidhu spends his mornings cleaning Chandigarh's streets. Long before most people begin their day, the former IPS officer and retired DIG is out with a broom and a sanitation cart, clearing litter, sweeping roads, and unclogging drains across the...

Sometimes I sit down and ask myself: what kind of metal was used to make Dr. Kizza Besigye? Here is a man who is financially secure, with investments, highly educated, a retired military officer, and married to an internationally respected wife. He has a family and every reason to choose a quiet life, yet he has never surrendered or stopped fighting for what he believes is the liberation of Uganda. From the day he declared that he would challenge his former friend for the presidency in 2001, he has faced countless political battles. He has survived death threats, rape allegations, repeated arrests, the loss of family members, and the loss of close friends in the struggle. Through it all, he has never given up. Truth be told, I even fear his level of resilience. What many people dismissed as “just another arrest” has, over nearly two years, turned into a life-threatening ordeal. Yet every time he appears before a judge, he still carries himself with remarkable courage. Looking at his actions, one gets the impression that he would rather lose his life than surrender his principles. Whether one agrees with his politics or not, very few people could endure what Dr. Besigye has endured. Many people, when faced with such pressure, would plead guilty for a lighter sentence or negotiate with those responsible for their arrest. He has chosen a different path. Personally, I know I would have surrendered long ago. We may never see another Besigye in our lifetime. People can debate his politics, but his endurance, conviction and willingness to sacrifice for what he believes are qualities that are undeniably rare. Even at his age, he continues to shake the most powerful tables May God keep you alive to witness the fulfillment of everything you believe in. May your faith, hope and perseverance be rewarded. Amen.

Many people tagged me in a viral video of this American man, who has been widely referred to as the "Mzungu Chokoraa," claiming that he had been abandoned and was living on the streets. After I shared the video, his wife reached out to me and requested that I visit him to understand the true situation. This evening, I met him and his family, and I learned that he is not homeless. He is a married man, a father of five children, and has been living with his family in Texas, USA. According to his family, he has bipolar disorder, and his condition became worse after the passing of his mother. He is currently under medical care and takes prescribed medication. The family explained that during some episodes of his illness, he may leave home and wander the streets. This has led many people to believe that he is homeless, which is not true. They also shared that he has a passion for recycling and environmental conservation, which is why he is sometimes seen collecting recyclable materials or around dumpsites. I would like to clarify to the general public that this man is not homeless. He has a loving family that cares deeply for him. When you see him on the streets, please do not judge or discriminate against him. Instead, treat him with dignity, kindness, and respect, knowing that he is living with a mental health condition. The family has also appealed to the public not to buy him alcohol or give him weed, as both can interfere with his prescribed medication and may seriously affect his health. Let us replace stigma with understanding and compassion. Mental health conditions can affect anyone, and those living with them deserve our support, respect, and humanity.

An abandoned dog was wandering the streets, his fur covered in dirt, his body painfully thin, and his eyes filled with sadness. A kind woman found him and decided to rescue him. She reached out her hand toward him. But he didn’t understand that she was trying to help. To him, a hand reaching toward him could just as easily mean danger. She kept talking to him softly, trying to let him know that things were different this time. “I’m trying to help you.” Then she gave him his first bath. As the water washed away the dirt, his thin body and protruding bones became visible. He was still scared. But from that moment on, his life slowly began to change. During those first few days, he often looked for quiet, hidden places to hide. Under a chair, in a corner of the room, anywhere he felt safe. No one tried to pull him out. They simply stayed nearby and patiently waited for him to decide when he was ready to come out. Little by little, he started peeking out from his hiding spots. He would come out, but still kept his distance and wouldn’t let anyone touch him. Maybe he was trying to figure out whether these people were really different from everyone he had known before. On the fourth day, he appeared at the bedroom door. He was still scared, but this time, instead of turning away, he slowly walked closer. It was a very small step, but it meant so much. He was learning how to trust again. Not long after that, he climbed onto the bed for the first time. It was probably a place he had never imagined he would one day be allowed to sleep. He curled up and fell asleep. For the first time, he could rest somewhere without having to stay on guard. Then he started barking. It no longer sounded like the bark of a frightened dog. It was more like a dog who had just realized he was finally free to use his voice. His face began to change, too. There was a look of happiness in his eyes because, at last, this little dog had found a family who loved him.

Every time KCEE drops a new project, some people just jump in with their unnecessary criticism and it is very annoying watching people make unsavory comments on art they don’t understand. This nonsense was done to Ojapiano sound that would have changed the music landscape, how did it end? Your guess is as good as mine. It is not that it’s not good work, but some of you’re not happy that he’s the one doing it. WHY? KCEE has spent an incredible 27 years in the music industry, and that journey deserves to be celebrated, recognized, and deeply appreciated. From the days of KCPresh to where he stands today, KCEE has consistently evolved with the sound of every generation. He has reinvented himself, embraced change, taken risks, and continued to push boundaries regardless of the noise or criticism that has come his way. He has worked with the hunger of a serious up and coming artist, someone who has refused to take anything for granted, constantly creating, experimenting, and challenging himself to do more. Every time he introduces a new idea or takes his sound in a different direction, there are always opinions, doubts, and people ready to question him. Yet, through it all, he has remained relentless. You should RESPEKT that! KCEE has repeatedly shown that he is not a pushover and cannot simply be pushed aside or written off. His longevity is a testament to his resilience, his talent, his adaptability, and, most importantly, his passion for music. He has contributed significantly to the Nigerian and African music landscape. His body of work, his visuals, his influence, and his ability to remain relevant across different eras have earned him a place in the history of our music. All these unnecessary talks about his craft is unfounded and unwarranted. He has proven to everyone of you wrong at every point in time, that he deserves whatever credits he’s getting. KCEE is a living legend, and 27 years is not moimoi, how many of his contemporaries are still making music that’s relatable?

This painting shows the most heartbreaking reunion in all of literature. To understand it, you have to know who the dog is... His name is Argos, and he belongs to Ulysses, the Greek hero also known as Odysseus. Before Ulysses sailed away to fight in the Trojan War, he had raised Argos from a puppy, a fast and beautiful hunting dog. Then the war called, and Ulysses left. He would not come home for twenty years. When Ulysses finally set foot on his own island again, he came in disguise, dressed as a beggar, so that no one would know him. His house was full of men trying to steal his wife and his kingdom. To survive, he had to remain a stranger in his own home. No one recognized him. Not his loyal servants. Not the people who had known him all his life. But lying in the dirt by the gate, old and forgotten, covered in ticks, too weak to stand, was a dog. Argos had waited twenty years. And the moment he saw him, he knew. He was the only one. Nearly blind, half dead, he lifted his head and pricked up his ears, and he wagged his tail for the master he had never stopped waiting for. Ulysses saw him. And because he was in disguise, surrounded by enemies, he could not run to him, could not kneel down, could not say his name. He could only look at his old friend and, turning his face away so no one would see, let a single tear fall. And then, in Homer's own words, "the dark shadow of death closed down on Argos' eyes, the instant he had seen Odysseus, twenty years away." He had held on to life for one reason only: he was waiting to see him come home. And the moment he did, he could finally let go... It is such a beautiful painting, and the look on that dog's face is so universal, so instantly understood by anyone who has ever loved and waited, that it is enough to bring a grown man to tears.

Warren Pickering, One Nation’s Victorian state leader, has a story of personal redemption. Warren does not deny the mistakes he made as a young man. He openly acknowledges his past drug use, drink-driving offences and failures as a father, and he expresses genuine regret for the hurt those choices caused his children and the people he loved when he was younger. Rather than asking to be excused or judged as blameless, Warren accepts responsibility for his past and asks to be judged by the man he has worked to become. Warren’s character is reflected in his willingness to own his mistakes, rebuild his life, serve his country, stand by his family and face public scrutiny with honesty. Warren says he stopped using drugs before joining the Australian Defence Force and credits his military service with giving him the discipline, purpose and direction he had been missing. He joined the ADF in 2013, held a Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance, served operationally in eight countries and remains in the standby reserves. That service helped Warren understand that supporting others gave his life meaning and later inspired him to pursue community and political service. His commitment to his family is also central to his story. Warren assumed custody when his children needed care, remained involved in the lives of his daughter and stepsons, and tried to support their mother’s recovery. His daughter and stepson stood beside him at the press conference, while his stepson spoke of the difference Warren had made to their lives, expressed respect for the person he had become and said he forgave him. Warren’s greatest regret is that he could not give his children the childhood they deserved, but the close relationship he now shares with them points to the effort he has made to repair that harm. He has faced painful questions in public, answered them directly and accepted that voters must weigh both his past and the life he has led since. As One Nation said at the press conference, “One Nation does not grow its candidates in petri dishes like Labor and the Liberal Party. They come from lived experience.” The major parties should reflect on their own shortcomings before condemning a man who has acknowledged his failures, rebuilt his life and demonstrated through his family, military service and community involvement that people can change. Warren’s story shows a man who confronted his mistakes, changed the direction of his life and chose not to remain defined by the worst decisions of his youth. I encourage you to watch his press conference in full and make your own judgement.

🚨#BREAKING: A 14-year-old boy is being praised as a HERO after he used his LASSO to SAVE A DROWNING MAN AND DRAG HIM TO SHORE... ...ON HIS FIRST THROW!!! His name is Jory Thomas, he's a 14-year-old from Montana. On July 5, he was camping with his family near Greycliff when a raft and paddleboard slammed into a bridge pillar and threw four people into the river. Three made it out... but one man did not. He kept drifting downstream, clinging to a cooler, the current pulling him away fast. "We all heard, 'Help, help'… and he wasn't saying anything." Jory didn't wait. He emptied his pockets, ran through a waist-deep channel, and sprinted down the riverbank to catch up to him. And this year, for the very first time, he'd brought his lariat. His grandmother Sandy said they've camped at that spot for years and he had NEVER, EVER brought his rope before. "And that day he did." Jory took his 12-foot lariat, aimed at a drowning stranger, and threw. "Luckily, I caught him first try." FIRST throw!!! He roped him and hen he pulled that man through chest-deep water all the way to shore and held on until first responders arrived. His dad and his brothers are on the local fire department. Jory knew waiting wasn't an option. "God was basically putting me in the place of all this." His grandma wasn't even surprised. "His first instinct always is to help other people. He's always been that way." A 14-year-old spent all year roping a practice dummy in his backyard because he loved it… …and it made him the reason a man is alive today. GOD BLESS Jory Thomas and GOD BLESS the family raising a boy like this. THIS IS THE AMERICA I KNOW!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
