my desktop build was working fine and now it’s throwing a boot error and the motherboard lights up all 4 of my error LEDs in succession, CPU, DRAM, VGA and then BOOT i’ve built a handful of PCs before but what the fuck is this lol? anybody got any ideas?

i’ve tried reducing the RAM to a single stick and placing it in each of the 4 slots so I don’t think it’s a DRAM issue reseated the power to the MOBO and the CPU, no change hoping anyone out there has some kind of idea before i bite it and reassemble literally everything

We actually took the bins out on Temple street side. But I’ve still seen things that scarred me for life. One time my mate threw a glass bottle at one of their heads and he chased him and was trying to boot the door in on the Mosquito bar. We had some laughs working there we got up to all kinds. There was loads of us. Still mates with some of them to this day. Best years of my life

Okay internet work your magic, this morning I woke up with my new pc having a no DHCP server found error I’ve had the pc for a week and the Ethernet worked fine - same cable works on the old comp AND the new cable I gave the old comp also doesn’t work on new comp, any ideas?

🚨WEIRD PLAY ALERT🚨 This is from tonight's Atlanta Braves at Miami Marlins game. This was originally scored a triple and an error, and almost immediately changed to an error on the right fielder and a throwing error on the center fielder. The original error on the rright fielder was for colliding with the center fielder as it looked like he had the ball. However, this was changed back to a triple and an error, as you have both fielders on a dead sprint back into right center. While yes, it might be a catch, the catch itself, and the play, is well above ordinary effort. The collision error isn't for this type of play, but a play where a fielder is situated where he can field the ball with ordinary effort and gets run into, with the ball getting knocked out, so this was changed after a review after the game but before stats were posted.

Here is the play in question by Ryan, and as much as this is obvious that the catcher didn't secure this ... the rule in place for scorers is if a thorw BOUNCES, it is a throwing error. I do not like applying this in this type of instance on a throw from the outfield, but right now that's how the rule reads. Only the committee can change it on appeal, and they would have to do that against the writter rule (to the consternation of those in charge I'm certain). But letter of the law ... the throwing error is correct.

The harsh reality of being sober: Is this the end of fun? I don’t think so. But it’s going to take me a while to figure out how to be sober in a party and festival world where I’ve spent most of my life getting after it. My sober break was just gonna be November. Then December. Then just until Friendship Cruise. But as it got closer, something shifted. I realized I didn’t need a break. I needed to actually heal. So now my goal is all of 2026 sober. For most of my adult life, I’ve used alcohol and substances to push the vibe, push myself, and push the party. I don’t think I’m an addict, but years of partying has messed with my memory and focus, and that scares me. This is the most important year of my life. I’m going to heal my mind, release more music than ever, show up online like I actually give a shit, build community in new ways, get strong and healthy, and be the best dad and husband I can be. It’s gonna be hard as fuck, but I know it’ll be worth it ✌️💗

U-Boot menu now works on Flipper One Now you can choose different kernels and systemd targets before the Linux kernel boots. * It's our LCD/buttons driver plus a slightly modified vanilla U-Boot menu. Will try to upstream it to U-Boot. * This is a temporary solution for testing the selection of different OS profiles. In the final version of Flipper OS, we’ll most likely draw the boot menu using a small program compiled into initramfs, after the kernel has started. But as a temporary solution, it works perfect. * I’m still not happy with the cold boot time: from powering on the processor to having a working menu. I used to love doing a car boot sale in the 80s and 90s but then things changed. People like this started turning up and demanding things for nothing. You’d say a £1 and they’d say 10p or they’d be in ya boot before you’ve had time to unpack it. I’d much rather throw things away than do a car boot sale. How sad.

This group of friends were going for an outing in the city, when they finally found a place to park they see it’s $40 but decided to just go ahead and pay it at that point. When they got back they see that their car had a boot on it and they are claiming they went over their parking time limit. Turns out the parking a lot workers have a deal with the boot company, they had the boot company pilot the boot on other peoples cars too so they can make money. As soon as she threatens to call the police, he claims go ahead we have a cop here too, but they hurry up and take the boot off. Was this a scam all along, or did nobody bother to ask if there was a time limit on parking?

Wanted to see if this held, but this was ruled an error on the second baseman, and in no way, shape or form, is this an error. This is an infielder racing into the outfield, and this is almost a terrific catch. If you can see the infielder’s full number as she is running into the outfield, that means it’s above ordinary effort. There have been quite a few shaky calls in this #WCWS (as per the usual sadly) but this isn’t an error. Even the announcer went with calling it an error, but this is 100% a hit.
