🌍Are LLMs aware of cultural and legal safety in today’s geo-diverse world? 🚀Introducing SafeWorld, our #NeurIPS2024 paper and benchmark assessing LLMs’ understanding of geo-diverse safety, based on cultural norms and policies across 50 countries and 493 regions/races. ⚖️We also propose a multi-dimensional framework for evaluating contextual appropriateness, accuracy, and comprehensiveness, revealing major gaps in current LLMs. 🧨To address this, we train SafeWorldLM using DPO, achieving SOTA performance and a 20% higher global human evaluator rating in helpfulness and harmfulness over competing models, including GPT-4o. 🔗Paper: 💻 GitHub: 🫶🏻This is a joint leading effort with Da Yin. We believe that to create a successful project, it requires the contribution and effort of everyone. We could do this ourselves, but that would take years—a really long time. Now, though, we can do it super fast thanks to this kind of anti-ballistic coalition. A HORSE WITH WILLIE MULLINS! We are delighted and extremely excited to announce that our new recruit will be heading to the British & Irish Champion Trainer. KINGMAKER (Timeform rating 83) was purchased by the team at Tattersalls yesterday. He has been consistent in his last three starts before coming to the sale. His finishing effort at Kempton last time out was massively eye-catching. Zarakerjack who finished 3rd in this race was also on our list for a different project. Kingmaker offers the perfect dual purpose profile for him to continue his career over in Ireland. When we first pulled him out from his box, we were amazed with his size, for only being a three year old. He has so much scope to improve for National Hunt style racing. He will be gelded and given a week or two to recover before heading into training with Willie. We are thrilled to be able to add the best jumps trainer in the world to our infantry and we are already hard at work preparing for a trip to Closutton EXCLUSIVELY for share owners! This will be seriously good fun. 🇮🇪

Artists will soon have access to 94 affordable homes at 1687 Market Street in San Francisco. Today we broke ground on Artists Hub on Market. In addition to homes for low-income artists, arts workers, arts administrators, entertainment workers, and their families, there will be rehearsal rooms, a black box theatre, and services supporting the arts. Our city is stronger and more vibrant when artists can live in the city where they work. With this groundbreaking, we’re sending a clear message to our arts community: you have a future in San Francisco. Residents will be certified through a new Artist Housing Certification Program run by the Arts Commission, ensuring these homes go to active creative workers. This project is designed to be replicated, so we can build more homes like this across the city, and it is funded thanks to a generous $100 million gift from an anonymous donor and tax-exempt bonds shepherded by the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development. Thank you to Artists Hub on Market and Mercy Housing California for making this project possible and supporting our city’s incredible artists.

TEA WITH BISCUITS IN THE KREMLIN AND CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE PRESIDENT: Today, on the eve of the holiday, Vladimir Vladimirovich invited us to the Kremlin to personally congratulate us. I found out about the invitation to the meeting just a couple of days ago, and I even had to postpone a work trip. It's impossible to miss the President's invitation, and right now our team of the "We Are Alive" project is already working a thousand kilometers away from Moscow, and I'm leaving today, right after the event... I managed not only to watch, listen, take pictures, and receive a beautiful bouquet, but also to briefly tell the President about myself and my work and convey proposals for the implementation of the project on the safety of children and teenagers. Vladimir Vladimirovich listened, asked clarifying questions, and gave the necessary instructions for the implementation. - Who can we trust now, Vladimir Vladimirovich, in this difficult time - I asked at the end of the conversation.
