Breaking encryption is different beast. We don't need to worry. But we also don't need to worry about de-compilation all that much because we've had decades of millions of open source projects showing that security through obscurity when it comes to code is not a valid approach.

Don’t take offense, I get what you’re saying but your concerns are misplaced. This makes it seem like you just have a lack of technical understanding of how software works, which is okay btw. But there’s a fundamental difference between decompiling client side software and hacking into a bank

I think the only saving grace (for now) is that those "recompile" project are not exactly recomps but rather emulation projects that are accurate to what real hardware is doing.
