My stream has crashed every stream Ive done for the last year and a half. I dont know what to do and im about to quit. I have a job- just my hobby is being destroyed ): Here are more videos. Please help. -started with OBS and now a... bit less crashes in SLOBS - Nothing in the logs / event viewer says anything is wrong. - Ive reseated my ram. - All gamebar/overlays are off. - no overheating (CPU 38°, Mobo 42°, GPU 53°) -6 month old thermal paste -3 month old bios - all updated firmware on everything/storage/mobo/ram - power hub USB - no plugins - HAGS off - nvidia audio devices off - max game fps set to 60 /playing at low quality - NO overclocking - meld wont work - anker surge protector+2 outlets I cant play games on my powerhouse of a PC, only Playstation is working to avoid lags. i've read through all your recent posts to try and get an idea of the issues that you're having. If you're having the same problem with a completely new computer and it's happening with two different GPUs, my assumption is this is power related. but as you know there are so many factors... Has anyone recommended/have you tried running an extension cord from another room so that your PC isn't plugged into the same wall outlet or surge protector? basically keep everything plugged in where it is but just plug your computer into an extension cord that runs to another room. The further away the better so you can try and get on a different circuit/breaker. One other thing to test that I'm not sure I saw recommended, trying to perform the same action that normally creates these crashes, but unplug every single USB device that isn't a keyboard and mouse and see if it happens. I know there's lots of people throwing a bunch of different information at you, and while I can't tell you exactly what the issue is, I can tell you it's not the software you're using or your Internet service provider lol.

Catching up here so apologies if this has been answered. Have you tried running a brand new OBS install with just a single source running for 1 stream. And only having the absolute essentials connect via usb. I’m talking mouse and keyboard. Nothing else. No cams / mic stream deck etc

@MurkFPSHub Thank you so much for the reply! I have tested the 1 scene on OBS with crashes. Ill try unplugging USBs tomorrow. I have passed all Furmark stress tests and passed the Intel Diagnostic tool test. Thank you for looking into this!

does your computer act almost as if you are mid gfx card update? like your computer will freeze, and then monitors go dark and then it sort of shrinks and reset? i have been dealing with this too. I swapped out old monitors/display cables, reset my monitors to factory settings, and made sure all my monitors were at default hz and it seems to have worked also idk if this helped but i put my pc on its own outlet and everything else on another one found this obscure reddit thread with the same issue good luck, I broke down multiple times sobbing trying to figure out the cause

no idea if this is helpful or not, but I can remember getting random disconnects to parties when playing Destiny 2 (a while ago now). Turns out, I had a bad power strip (or it was my router that was plugged into the bad strip) Changed that out, and it was fine.

Do you have a display on USB? Clip 1 tells me you do and it is pushing your USB past it's bandwidth limits.

Have you tried only running your ram in slot 1 and 3? As looks like all 4 are full

Since you mentioned your partner and him streaming too. Maybe connect just your pc to your partners setup and do a test stream from there. This way you can at least 100% be sure that none of your peripherals are the cause.

You need an exorcist.. lol. Seems power related.. but moving should have solved that, unless your actual power supply is struggling. The 1000w should be more than enough to drive that.

windows 11 updates have been causing issues along with nvidia's latest driver updates.

Have you tried playing with all USB devices turned off except your mouse and keyboard? and of course checking the ram.

@grok Nothing in crash logs ): I think it crashes so it can't write in logs. Nothing in event viewer either. No errors I have 2 professional tech teams helping and Nothing so far

Here because of the legend @Naaackers o7 Couple things to try. First, Intel hates all 4 dimms populated and sometimes it can cause stability issues, even when not OC'd. I'd run 2 sticks and see if it helps. Secondly, I'd check your 3v and 5v levels using HWINFO. I had a 1/2

13th/14th gen i7/i9 Intel have a voltage issue that fry’s themselves unless the bios and windows is updated or something. Source: me, who fried two cpus before switching to AMD, and had a lot of similar problems as you’ve listed.

This is what I sent this morning on a different post (might not have seen it as that one had over 200 comments): I had to dig some but your specs show 64GB RAM but I saw you mentioned it's 4 sticks instead of 2 sticks of RAM. With DDR5 RAM, using 4 sticks of RAM can be unstable but as someone who didn't know that when I was streaming, I used to have 4 sticks and while my streams didn't crash, they did run at slower speeds due to this. With all that being said, try taking out 2 sticks of RAM (from slots 1 & 3) and enabling XMP in BIOS to get the full speeds out of your RAM. When you do this, your RAM will be memory training so you see blank screen for about 5 minutes (usually less) so don't panic. Try again and see if that helps. My guess is it won't BUT it's definitely something to try. If you have any questions on this process, feel free to ask.

Ok so im going to throw another thought out there thats kind of left field, may or may not help. I didnt see anything the specifically said you tried this already, with you RAM i imagine you have the 6000MT/s 32GB sticks, I did some searching and one thing thats popped up across several different posts is that some people have reported they needed to drop the speed to 5600MT/s to stop various errors. One post was similar to yours so I wouldn't hold my breath but at this point it would be worth a shot. I know the pain of troubleshooting as ive had issues twice in the past same months.

I don't know if this is super relevant but when you changed from the 5080 to the 3080 did you delete all the GPU drivers and start fresh?

This might sound super stupid and you've probably already thought of it but I had the same kind of issues and it ended up being because my GPU was loose or would keep coming loose 😅

Best of luck, saw the other comments helping you more than I can RN but hope you can get it figured it out, worst case try a local tech shop, they'll usually cut a better deal than big brand ones, at least in my experience.

Screens blacking out usually means the gpu is not doing so well. Not enough power supplied to the gpu in general, gpu boosting too high clocks by default, could be as simple fix as plugging the pc directly to the outlet

PC is directly plugged directly into outlet. I have a 1000w psu to run a 3080. isnt that more than enough?

So not into a power strip, directly to a wall outlet? Just double checking. 1000w is more than enough for the 3080. Does it happen even if SL/OBS is just running? Do you have list of steps you've done so I can see what you've tried already?

The psu is plugged directly into the outlet itself. The desk, monitors, goxlr, peripherals are plugged into the power strip. Only crashes happen with obs/slobs open. Doesn't have to be streaming Ive posted the last 3 days of most things ive done

Right, thanks! Will look further. In the mean time you could try a program called "WhoCrashed", it's free and it _might_ show what actually crashes and narrow it down a little further. I've used it to narrow down some pesky crashes before

It does sound like a psu issue that the power given to the gpu is somehow unstable. With monitor just turning black like that. Could be psu or the cables.

soooo the artificing on your OBS while it is encoding/streaming is a sign of a failing GPU entirely. A friend of mine, @T1nyMuse , has the exact same thing happen to hers when she plays stressing games and streams. I would highly recommend doing an RMA for the GPU!

@ShatBlade89 Mine will do the same exact thing. With or without gaming. I can sit and stare at my computer after I just turn it on with nothing open and it'll do it.

Are you using a capture card from Elgato? Are you using the Elgato Camera Hub? Camera Hub was causing my system to crash last year. Just trying to give some options to look into.

Looks like it's either an unstable volt or power supply

first put the 5080 back in second Use ddu and hit the recommend settings. then restart your pc. when it restarts. update your drivers you should be fine i recommend you check the recommended nvidia driver here:

The 5080 has a 100% memory leak and crashes multiple times a stream with NVEC error. Done DDU so many times. 3080 has solved the NVEC crashes

how long have you had it. and is brand new. because you can get it a new easily if its under waranty

Im partnered with NVIDIA and they sent me TWO warehouse brand new 5080 series cards. I got sent the first one before they officially released it along with a new, 2nd, one 6 months ago.

Whatever about OBS auto config setup to automatically set it up to the best settings. Have you tried that yet? Maybe test out on one service and add the other ones gradually?

Not sure if this is helpful but my builder recommending starting with just mouse and keyboard and see if it happens. If nothing happens it’s not those, then add the next periferal. Keep adding periferals until it happens. Once it happens change ports and see if it happens again

Anything in Reliability History? (windows key and search "reliability history" or WIN + R and run "perfmon /rel")

Check all the apps you use for mem leaks start machine with just keyboard and mouse. also running chkdsk /r and sfc /scannow. last, back up your files on all of main drive and reinstall windows. its possible a rouge update could be causing some issues. dm me if u need help!
