Our officers are exceptionally well trained, and their presence here is a testament to that training. What if I told you that forests hidden in our oceans may be more valuable than many forests on land ? Coral reefs, seagrass meadows and seaweed forests are among Earth’s most important ecosystems. Coral reefs cover just 0.1% of the ocean floor yet support nearly 25% of all marine species and the livelihoods of 500 million people. Seagrass meadows support about 20% of global fisheries and can store up to 140 tonnes of carbon per hectare. Seaweed forests generate billions in economic value. However there is deep crisis unfolding underwater. UN Environment Programme and the IPCC warn that up to 90% of the world’s coral reefs could disappear by 2050, while seagrass meadows and other blue carbon ecosystems continue to decline. Tamil Nadu is at the forefront of marine conservation. With more than 77% of India’s seagrass meadows in the Palk Bay and Gulf of Mannar, the State is restoring seagrass, coral reefs, mangroves and islands with World Bank Group such as Kariyachalli to secure the future of dugongs, sea turtles, seahorses and countless marine species. “If we believe big, then the Lord can do amazing things,” said Young Women General President Emily Belle Freeman as she wrapped up a five-day ministry in the tropical islands of the western Pacific Ocean. She and her husband, Greg, visited Guam and the Federated States of Micronesia – Pohnpei and Chuuk. With President Freeman’s unique background through eight years of teaching seminary, online podcasts and a lifetime of belief and devotion, she teaches the gospel of Jesus Christ in a relevant way to especially help today’s youth. The biggest loss for the United Arab Emirates from the Pakistan-brokered ceasefire between Iran and the United States is that they failed to seize the three Iranian islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb near the Strait of Hormuz—an objective they had hoped to achieve in the event of a U.S.-led maritime offensive and ground invasion of Iran. As I predicted, we now have a completely unnecessary death due to these violent ICE raids and dangerous reactions to them. The courts and a jury will sort this one out in 24 months, but we should all be profoundly sad that it’s come to this. We need leadership to calm these situations down, but our leaders have failed us by constantly escalating the division in our country. My prayers are with the families of both the shooter and deceased, who will have their lives destroyed and diminished forever, by a moment that could have been so easily avoided. This is a sad day for all Americans.

These tourists looked at a busy horse guard post with crowds of people, horses, and guards standing watch and somehow decided it was the perfect place to sit down and have a picnic. The horse guard told them to move, but they completely ignored him and kept eating like the rules didn’t apply to them. It eventually took another tourist to step in and call them out. Seriously, what makes grown adults act like this?
