What did the family and LE see that has caused them to take this ransom demand so seriously. The FBI should be able to tell of the a voice or image was manipulated. It is clear, they are unsure. Savannah said, "Talk to her and you will see." Clearly they believe she could be alive and in the hands of her abductors. Savannah said they are ready to talk. I have been involved in 3 kidnapping cases in 28 years. The demands came right away, not after 3 days. This note was fashioned by BAU, no doubt. Try to establish some empathy for the hostage. Open lines of communications. Indicate you are ready to negotiate. All of that was done. It still makes no sense that after 3 days and after LE is so involved that a ransom demand would come now. Normally, contact would have been made with the family right after the abduction and before LE was contacted. This case is rubbing against my experience and does not meet with other kidnapping cases I was involved with or studied. Again, if this is a hoax, it is the cruelest hoax I have seen. Nancy Guthrie *2/10-A private Bitcoin wallet was set up (Likely by the FBI on behalf of the Guthries) *2/10-Two small deposits went into the private account then the private account sent 1 transfer of .0022 Bitcoin into Nancy's abductor's account (It is still there) *2/10-The private account then sent a message below to the abductors with a PRIVATE link to the abductors for future communication *That link was opened (I believe by the abductors as the FBI would not place a timed self-destruction for the link. They would want to keep communication open) *The Guthries could have been communicating with the abductors via this private link. It is impossible for anyone to know because the link destructed after it was opened by design. This is showing a familiarity and empathy for the family which is making me rethink the scenario. No need to give this kind of detail and implied, oops/sorry.
