Narcissists don’t lack empathy, they have low, performative, transactional, and variable empathy. Dr. Ramani Durvasula explains: They can read the room, cry at movies, and seem caring when it benefits them or when they feel safe and valued. But the empathy disappears when they’re not getting what they want....

Brett Meiselas: Trump always tries to exploit tragedy or people’s pain. You can always be sure that when tragedy strikes, when people are fearful, Donald Trump will be there exploiting it to his political advantage. We’ve seen that time and time again—during storms throughout the country when he spread lies about FEMA. We’re seeing it now with this whole autism thing, blaming it all on Tylenol despite no studies showing that to be true. We see it with Charlie Kirk. We see it all over. Trump has one mode: here are people in pain, let me manipulate and exploit them, hurt them further, so they have to rely on me and beg for scraps. It’s disgraceful. And there’s a propaganda arm amplifying this, dividing people so much they don’t care about basic facts or truth. They just care about owning the other side. At the MeidasTouch Podcast, we don’t think empathy is a dirty word. That’s the difference between us and so many others. Empathy is good. Empathy is one of the most important qualities a leader—or any human being—can have. We all need empathy. We all need to care for one another. We all need to figure out how to help one another. Political beliefs shouldn’t block the truth. When the truth is staring you in the face, you don’t dismiss it as a “leftist thing” or “what the medical community says.” Yes, because they studied it. They have the data. Maybe it’s time to bring back trust and faith in the people who actually know what they’re talking about—rather than the inexperienced losers Trump puts in power to enrich himself and his buddies.

Angry Democrat caller ERUPTS live on C-SPAN, torches Democrats over govt shutdown — announces he’s LEAVING the party. “I’m a Democrat, but I don’t understand what the party is doing… They’re holding out because THEY DON’T LIKE THE ORANGE MAN IN OFFICE. “So why are they blaming the other side when they’re the ones that have to come to the table and do the votes? They have to vote the right way to open the government and make sure that everybody has their checks and is getting paid. “And I think it’s kind of cruel to actually sit back and not participate because you don’t feel like the other party is doing what you want them to do. “There’s a trans section in there as well. They want to give money to afford trans surgeries for young kids. “And all this stuff that the Democrats have now gone into, which I am nowhere near. In fact, I think I’m going to be LEAVING the Democrat Party because this happens too often where they’re blaming the opposite party when they know they can do the right thing. “They need to do the right thing and reopen this government instead of keeping it shut down. Like they’re hijacking the American people. I’ve seen it before. We’ve seen them vote the right way when they’re in power, so why the hell can’t they vote the right way when they’re not in power? “So get this government back open. Get the American people what they deserve. And this is basically a Schumer shutdown. From what I’ve seen, from what I’ve been watching on C-SPAN, what they show [is] the Democrats whining and crying and blaming. That’s what I see.” The caller’s rant clearly left the C-SPAN host unamused. “All right, Jason,” she said before moving on to the next caller.

Catherine Austin Fitts on how psychopaths are able to run the world "people who have no empathy are really good at... organizing for self-benefit" "[So] you have... 3 to 5% sort of psychopath[s] [at the top], [and then] 20 to 25% who are making a lot of money helping them" "then you have the other 60 to 70% [of the population] who can't fathom what's going on. And what the others are doing, what the smaller groups are doing, drives them crazy. And they become neurotic" This clip of Catherine Austin Fitts, a former Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, investment banker, and founder of the Solari Report (The Solari Report | Catherine Austin Fitts), is taken from a discussion with Alix Mayer (Alix Mayer) posted to YouTube on June 3, 2026. ----------------Partial transcription of clip--------------- "There's a wonderful book called Political Ponerology. Have you ever read it? Okay, so, the, the description of the book is as follows. It was a psychologist who had been a young man during Hitler in Poland. And after the war then Stalin came in and he was at university and he and a group of colleagues decided, you know, because they'd been so traumatized by all this tyranny, they said, we're going to study the intersection of psychopathy with politics. "And that's ponerology, the study of psychopathy mixed— And here's what they— And they wrote the book, he said, three times, tried to get it out from behind the Iron Curtain and then, failed, had to destroy it. And then when he finally got out after '89, he wrote it from memory. "And here's what it said. And what he said was that most people are born with empathy and they can't fathom not only that other people don't have empathy, but that the people who have no empathy are really good at getting together and organizing for self-benefit. "So the people with no empathy are much more effective at conspiracies than the people with empathy. Okay? "So anyway, what he said was about 20 to 25% of the population who are competent at running things are willing to work for the people who don't have empathy as long as they get paid well. "And if you look at the history of America, the way we've gotten here is a lot of people got paid a lot of money, whether with their stocks and bonds or whether their job helping the people who have no empathy do all the evil doing. "I mean, you know that because if you look at what's going on in medicine, you can see it clearly. "So what happens is you have the 3 to 5% sort of psychopathic, then you have the 20 to 25% who are making a lot of money helping them. And then you have the other 60 to 70% who can't fathom what's going on. And what the others are doing, what the smaller groups are doing drives them crazy. And they become neurotic. "They become neurotic about the food, they become neurotic about the healthcare, they become neurotic about programmable money. And until they finally come to understand, you're dealing with psychopathic and you're dealing with people who will help the psychopaths for money. "And what he said was once people could fathom what was going on, suddenly they started being effective."
