"Insanely yours, Durandal." To celebrate Marathon's launch, I made a thing. I hope you like it. 🤙🏼 Marathon was my whole identity growing up. Some of my favorite memories of playing games with my Dad. I have a marble notebook (do people still use those?) that 2nd grade me filled cover to cover with a fan fic about my best friends and I being isekai'd up to the Marathon to fight the Pfhor and save the world. I drew the Marathon symbol on every piece of homework I ever turned in. I tried to learn Warhammer 40k so I could play Tau just because their symbol looked like the Marathon logo. I might have been a little obsessed. I can't express how important this IP is to me. And while I'm a sad that extraction shooters aren't really my thing, so my ability to enjoy it is limited, I care so much about seeing this title succeed, so that more people can fall in love with the thing that captured my imagination as a kid. And who knows, so that maybe I can find my way into it some day. Anyway, I wanted to pay tribute to one of my favorite characters – Durandal – with a reading from your first encounter with him in the original game. We kind of threw this together overnight, so apologies if it's rough around the edges. - So much love to Mr. Fox @ AnimeNYC for his amazing audio work. - Footage from a number of Marathon docu-videos and one or two cinematics. - Music from the game. - Love and begging forgiveness of the Bungie team. - All voice work is my own.

If you're any kind of creator, listen to me. You do not need AI to create 2D or 3D animation or art. Honestly, you dont even need to know HOW to animate yourself. Sometimes, all you need is an idea, a vision, patience, and the right artist who can bring that vision to life. And if you cant afford an artist yet, thats okay too. You can always learn, practice, fail, and improve yourself so that way you can spearhead your own projects. Another option is also just saving your money so you can "indie" fund your project. I’ve done both. Ive hired animators, and Ive also learned how to do it myself because, honestly, I got tired of waiting on people. I got tired of being disappointed by speed, quality, communication, or work ethic. Personally for me, at some point, it became a "Fine ill do it myself" type of situation and literally "picked up the pencil" myself. And I did. It took years. A lot of frustration, a lot of late nights, a lot of self doubt, but every step forward came from actually showing up for myself and my work. No shortcuts. Not pretending im an animator. actually being one. Not letting a machine, make my journey FOR me. What drives me is passion, discipline, and doing the work over and over again because I love animation. The best part is looking back and seeing that my work improved because of ME. Because I kept going. because I gave enough of a shit to get better, thats real human growth, no AI needed. You can do it too. Start from nothing. become something.

Giannis Antetokounmpo spoke about his own father & his humble roots after Tyrese Haliburton’s father confronted him after Milwaukee’s series-losing Game 5 vs. Indiana 🗣️ “I believe being humble in victory. People say when you win the game, you talk s***, it’s a green light for you to be disrespectful to someone else. I disagree. I’ve won a championship & they haven’t. I’m not trying to minimize their effort. I remember when I won, my mom never missed a game. When we won, she was scared to cross. ‘Am I allowed to come & hug my son?’… Except Thanasis, my family doesn’t sit courtside. I try to keep my family away from the game. Losing a game, emotions run high. I thought it was a fan. It was his dad. I love Tyrese. I think he’s a great competitor. His dad coming on the floor & showing me his son’s towel with his face. ‘This is what we do. This is what the f*** we do.’ That’s very, very disrespectful. My dad, who’s not with us anymore, my dad used to come in the family room & he’s the most respectful person ever. When you come from nothing & work your whole life to sell stuff in the street… you create this mentality of being humble your whole life. To not disrespect anybody… so, when his dad came here, I remembered: ‘Dad why are you so humble?’ That’s how I grew up… Having somebody’s dad — & I’m happy for his son & him — disrespecting me & cursing at me is totally unacceptable. I’m not the guy that points fingers, because snitches get stitches. I don’t want him to get fined. I talked with him at the end & I think we’re in a good place.” Thoughts? 🤔

Hate me or love me, but your office and my office are different. This is just the truth so I’m going to say it. You work from a cubicle. I’m working from a boat, sitting in a hot tub, watching a seaplane fly over me. You’re working to build someone else’s dream. I’m working to build my own. You have to worry about the next meeting, the next email, the next task someone gives you. I have businesses willing to sponsor me on 𝕏 for a single post and pay me amounts that many people have to work months for. And this didn’t happen overnight. I spent years building my own brand, my own audience, and my own businesses. But that’s the difference between spending your life building someone else’s dream and spending it building your own. You have to wait for your shift to end to go home and spend time with your kids. My kids are right next to me. We’re working together, learning together, using Grok, asking questions, and experiencing life together. You count down the hours until you can leave work. You count down the days until the weekend. You count down the years until retirement. I don’t want to spend the best years of my life waiting until 65 to finally start living. I’d rather be dead, for real. I’m living right now. And that’s what people don’t understand about freedom. It’s not about owning the biggest house, the nicest watch, or the most expensive car. None of that shit really matters when you actually get it. It’s about owning your time. It’s about being able to work from anywhere. It’s about being present with your kids while they’re still kids. It’s about looking up when a seaplane flies over you instead of being too busy staring at the clock waiting for your shift to end. Technology like Starlink made this kind of life possible for me. I can be in the middle of the water and still work, build, learn, create, make $ money, and stay connected to the entire world. My office has no walls. My income isn’t decided by a boss. My schedule doesn’t need anyone’s approval. My kids don’t have to wait until I get home to spend time with me. And I don’t have to wait until I’m 65 to start living. We are not the same.

WHEEEEEEE! 👌🏻" and honestly i think that's the healthiest mindset to live. if the goal is to get through life then shouldn't we be trying to be happy? work hard while taking care of yourself, find things that make you happy and hold on to them. what xm said is something a lot of fairies have already been doing. we're here because being a fan brings us joy and likewise he has brought so much happiness into our lives, not because we want to spend our time hating on other members or fight strangers online. not only to fairies but other fan too please remember what he said and just because someone else is being awful doesn't mean we need to prove anything by doing the same (i know it's TEMPTING to fire back FCKKKKKK AAAHHH but still its needed sometimes) maybe choosing not to engage is the better choice (just maybe idk). we're not the biggest fandom but i'm grateful that so many of us have managed to stay level headed through all this. and just because we're not sitting in your quotes and replies all day doesn't mean he has no fans duh we simply have lives outside this app we'd rather spends our time enjoying the artist we love, to spends our energy on things that actually make us happy, saying only the kind stuff, and move on with our day!!! which means most of us have better things to do than obsessing over people we dislike. to minseok, i love you ♡ and to all my fairy friends, i love you ♡
