needed a coding warmup, so I started on a room-generator algorithm for tresbashers 2 #gamedev it's far from done but... pretty cool so far!

not many rooms are accessible, since there's not really a coherent pathing system yet. I just got the rooms to print out and carved out some doorways and ladders semi-randomly. I'll definitely be coming back to this after Peter Shorts is done.

vertical rooms don't work yet either but once I add a proper pathing system and simplify the whole thing it should be no problem. but I don't wanna sink too much time into this yet!! I still need to finish up Peter!

Woah there. Ok that would be really cool. Randomly generated rooms (so like a random selection of enemies) would be awesome

the monsters here are randomized! I have a system in mind for picking enemy types for different room layouts but I haven't coded it yet. Right now it just picks from a list of like 8 of them

I am not sure if anyone has ever said this to you, but the Boss Like Nature of the enemies and the emphasis of a baseball bat of this series really reminds me of Monster Party for the Nes, ahahaha

monster party was definitely rolling around in my brain when I made the first game lol

yeah! I haven't posted much of it lately since it's not at the top of the list (peter, wonky...) but it exists!!!

It's a veritable hotel of monsters that need BASHING >:(
