Neiman Marcus closed its downtown Dallas flagship yesterday. The store played a notable role in the history of desegregation in Dallas during the 1960s. Previously, Black shoppers across the US could enter department stores, but they weren't allowed to try on clothes before purchasing without adhering to certain conditions....

As if Dominique Alexander’s rap sheet and the findings of his organization being fraudulent weren’t enough, according to multiple sources within the PD, Alexander had an affair with former Police Chief Renee Hall. During the George Floyd protests, also known as the “summer of love,” the Dallas PD appointed their new chief of police, Chief Renee Hall. She was the first woman and one of the few African American women to hold that position. Prior to Dallas, she was the Deputy Chief of the Detroit Police Department. You may ask how was she appointed? Dallas City Manager T.C. Broadnax quietly hired a panel to appoint the new police chief. One of those on the panel was none other than Dominique Alexander. Why was a convicted felon and someone who hates law enforcement as much as Alexander placed on a panel of 56 people from various neighborhoods to pick the next police chief? The Dallas Police Association was against Dominique Alexander being one of the 56. This appointment came AFTER NGAN planned the protest march in downtown Dallas just one year prior, which ended with five officers losing their lives. While Chief Renee Hall was in her position, she regularly met with Dominique Alexander regarding “protests and other matters”. Not only was he on the panel, but she also frequently positioned him prominently in an advisory role for the Citizens Police Oversight Board. During this time, Alexander was in a relationship with Keyaira Sanders, the same woman he domestically abused. Dominique Alexander often used his affiliation with Chief Rene Hall and DA John Creuzot to intimidate Sanders. He told her that no one would believe her because he was friends with them. However, according to multiple sources within the PD at the time, Dominique Alexander was allegedly having an affair with Chief Renee Hall. Once this allegation became public, confirmed by four separate police and civilian sources at Dallas Police, Hall left office within twenty-four hours after serving three years. T.C. Broadnax is now the Austin city manager, earning $470,017.60 a year. On top of his base salary, Broadnax’s employment agreement with the city includes thousands of dollars in extra compensation, including a cellphone allowance and a temporary housing allowance. Why has Dallas always catered to this man? A man who hates law enforcement, injured a baby, domestically abused his girlfriend, committed theft, evaded arrest—the list goes on. Based on my findings, I would say money and fear. Dallas needs to remove Dominique Alexander from ALL activities in Dallas involving elected officials and place his fraudulent organization on a ban list. He did this while being allowed to critique the dallas police department.

On This Day — May 28, 1948 Israel appointed a Jewish American badass as its first general in nearly 2,000 years — David “Mickey” Marcus. Marcus was a tough Brooklyn kid, a West Point graduate, and a decorated U.S. Army colonel and war hero who volunteered to help the newborn Jewish state on the brink of annihilation. He had already lived a legendary life: helped take down Lucky Luciano, parachuted into Normandy with the 101st Airborne, liberated Nazi death camps, and worked on the Nuremberg trials. Then, in 1948, he walked away from a promising U.S. Army career, took the fake name “Michael Stone,” and sailed to Israel to turn the ragtag Haganah into a real army. To turn it into the IDF. See him immortalized by the great Kirk Douglas in the clip below from the 1966 movie Cast a Giant Shadow. On May 28, David Ben-Gurion gave Marcus command of the Jerusalem front. The situation was dire: 100,000 Jews in Jerusalem were under siege. The Arab Legion (with British officers) had cut the only supply road, starving the city. Food was rationed to near nothing. Water was cut off. People were eating mallow leaves and facing surrender. Marcus didn’t flinch. He helped design and build the legendary Burma Road — a desperate, hand-carved bypass through mountains and ravines under enemy fire. Convoys, jeeps pushed by hand, and even donkeys carried supplies over terrain many thought impossible. That road broke the siege and saved Jerusalem. He trained fighters, designed command structures, and brought American military know-how to men and women who had just survived the Holocaust and refused to die again. On June 10, hours before a ceasefire, Mickey Marcus was tragically killed by friendly fire — a young sentry didn’t recognize him in the dark. He was wrapped in a white sheet, walking back to his quarters. He never saw the full victory he helped make possible. Israel buried its first general with full honors. His body was returned to West Point, where his tombstone reads: “A Soldier for All Humanity.” Mickey Marcus is the ultimate “Never Again” hero: a man who had everything in America but chose to risk it all so Jews would never again be defenseless. From a Brooklyn street fighter to Israel’s first general since the Maccabees. That’s the spirit that built the Jewish state.

These young ladies were claiming the owner was being rude to them and kicked them out. They even posted it on their social media with only their side of what happened. If anyone looked into it they would learn that the staff asked one of the young ladies to stop sharing her alcoholic drinks with her underage friend. They kept doing it and that’s when the owner intervened. I would have called the cops on them, I wouldn’t risk losing my liquor license for anybody. Was the owner overreacting or under reacting? Besides the mooch owner I worked for last time, I normally had pretty chill bosses but one stuck out that rubbed me the wrong way. He was always backhanded with his compliments and always was trying to come up with these wild ideas to make more money. One time he came up with the idea that the driver fee that the store normally paid to the driver was going to be pocketed by the store as a convenience fee to the driver. That would make the driver rely more and more on tips in an area that didn’t tip well anyways. What was bad about this was he knew it would create backlash so instead of telling the workers himself, he has the managers do it for him. So I had to hold a meeting with the workers and tell the drivers the store was going to be charging them to deliver for us. I also made sure I emphasized that it wasn’t my idea however I was forced to enforce this, it didn’t go over well. Most of the drivers walked out. I Calle the owner and told him we were doing pick up only and I think he should reconsider his stance on the delivery fee. After a week of slow sales he finally came to his senses and reconsidered. But this time he came in person to tell us the good news, very convenient for him being the hero.

Dallas police officer arrested for evading arrest in prostitution case ... DALLAS - A Dallas police officer was arrested recently for evading arrest in a case involving the solicitation of a prostitute. Sr. Cpl. Joshua Gonzalez turned himself in to the Dallas County jail on Tuesday to face charges. Gonzalez has been with the Dallas Police Department since August 2010 and is part of the Criminal Intelligence Division. According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the alleged crime happened near Harry Hines Boulevard this past October. Dallas police officers in a marked patrol unit spotted a black Ford Fusion on the side of the road with two females who appeared to be prostitutes. As the officers approached, the vehicle sped off. The officers followed the vehicle for about 15 seconds with lights and sirens on before deciding to "let'em go," according to the affidavit. They shared the vehicle's license plate information with investigators. Investigators later learned that the vehicle was registered to the City of Dallas and assigned to the police department's Criminal Intelligence Division. Video cameras, police fleet records, cellphone records, and witness statements helped police identify Gonzalez as the driver. Police believe he "intentionally and knowingly evaded detention with a motor vehicle when he immediately fled from Dallas police officers who attempted to conduct a lawful traffic stop," the affidavit states. Gonzalez was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

I wouldn’t normally use Twitter for anything non-football related but just wanted to share the video below of Glen Hansard in The Spirit Store in February just gone – not singing, as so many people enjoyed over the years, but supporting. I had the pleasure of seeing Glen in ‘The Store’ in its early days and while he had gone onto much bigger things over the years, he never forgot grassroots Irish music, its venues and supporting those on the way up, including the likes of Dundalk’s own David Keenan and that night, Rowan Murphy. That was a practice that had continued with the likes of Josh O’Keeffe more recently but there were countless others who he helped shine a spotlight on. February’s gig – one of several he played around then with The Frames in some of the country’s best small venues – felt like a celebration of The Spirit Store and if Mark or Derek could have picked a performer for such an occasion there was arguably no better headliner for it than Glen, who was also a huge support to the likes of Women’s Aid in Dundalk over the years. There are probably countless small stories of his generosity, including arguably being one of the main driving forces behind the Christmas Busk on Grafton Street, to the point that whether you were into his music or not it was hard not to appreciate all he did for the industry here. He was in many ways the godfather of Irish music – supporting it at home and abroad and giving so much back in return. He was truly one of a kind. A ‘Star, star’ that really shone. Sympathy to Glen’s family and friends in the music industry. His legacy is enormous and his support was invaluable. RIP.

Danny Sheehan says the Psionic program recruited children to bring down actual ET craft because military pilots were having trouble. He says there has been substantial misconduct with the children that have been recruited And also the occupants of the ET craft Source -“New Thinking Allowed 🔗 in comments Danny -“Now the other problem is, of course, that that the, the fact that these vehicles are run by, by te telepathic communication on the part of the pilot, that they were in fact having substantial difficulties in having the trained pilots that they have in the Air Force, for example, and in the Navy, that somehow they weren't, they weren't capable of the kind of consciousness that was necessary to communicate and navigate these craft.” “And so what they did is they went out and they started trying to recruit people as you point out that they've actually gone and tried to find children who demonstrate these kind of psychic capabilities, and that they began a, a sub-program of, this entire effort to try to gear up people who have these capabilities and recruit them to actually be pilots for these, these craft. And, and so that they could bring down the actual ET craft themselves.” “Not a mockup of them, or not something that's like them, but the actual craft themselves. And, and have young children be trained over years to learn how to fly these things because of the high levels of consciousness and psychic abilities that they've had. Now, I'm, I'm not at liberty to go into some of the details about this, because the means by which I've acquired this information put certain people at risk of, of revealing who they are. But there have been some very substantial, there's been some very substantial misconduct involved in working with these children and trying to train them to, to pilot these craft.” “And there have been some substantial misconduct with regard to the way they've treated the occupants of these craft to the point of capturing them, killing them, you know, subjecting them to all kinds of coercive activities, you know, and, and our new Paradigm Institute is working with people in the Justice Department now, the Federal Justice Department, to try to bring about a major investigation to determine what some of those activities have been so that we can purge those activities from the present system that they're working with and, and that's a, that's a whole kind of darker dimension of this thing.”

Try to name one leader alive today who would do this. In 325 BC, in the middle of a desert that was killing his army, Alexander the Great was handed the only water his men had found for miles. He had brought them there himself. Coming home from India there were safer roads, but he chose the Gedrosian Desert, in what is now southern Iran and Pakistan. The Greek historian Arrian is clear that he knew what he was doing. He went that way because almost nobody had ever brought an army through it alive: legend said the queen Semiramis came out the other side with twenty men, and Cyrus the Great with seven. Alexander wanted to beat them both. The crossing took sixty days. Arrian writes that the suffering on that march was out of all proportion to anything his troops had endured in Asia. They moved at night, and men fell asleep where they collapsed. The sick were left at the roadside, because there was nobody to carry them and no time to stop. Somewhere in the middle of it, a few soldiers went looking for water and found a tiny trickle in a gully. They scraped up what they could, tipped it into a helmet, and carried it back to their king... Every man watching him was dying of thirst. So was he. "Alexander, with a word of thanks for the gift, took the helmet and, in full view of his troops, poured the water on the ground." There was not enough for all of them, so he would not take what he could not give. And Arrian records what that did to an army of men who could barely stand: "So extraordinary was the effect of this action that the water wasted by Alexander was as good as a drink for every man in the army." They got up, and they marched. We now live in an age of leaders who start wars their sons will never fight, who ask for sacrifices they would never dream of making themselves, who are always the first to be spared and the last to pay the price. Alexander was often ruthless and deeply flawed, yes, but he was a true leader and he knew that real power has never come from standing above your people, but from going thirsty beside them…

GRIMSBY, ONTARIO - NIAGARA REGION - For the third time within about four months, Harmony Jewellers in Grimsby has been the target of robbers. But tactics used by the culprits seem to be escalating. Instead of using sledgehammers to smash the windows of the Main Street West business or walking in during store hours, those responsible this time drove a vehicle into the storefront. About 11:25 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 24 a black pickup truck crashed in reverse through the front window. Video of the scene taken seconds after the crash and sent to Niagara This Week appeared to show four masked males fleeing the store amid the blasting of the store’s alarm and shouts from people on the street. The robbers appeared to be carrying bags and at least one sledgehammer. A man could be heard on the video shouting “There they go!” as the males ran down a sidewalk and then across the street into a waiting white SUV-style vehicle. The video showed another man chasing the suspects and smashing the windshield and side windows of the getaway car before it pulled into traffic, made a U-turn and headed east on Main Street West at a high rate of speed. On Jan. 18, six people smashed the front entrance of the business with small sledgehammers, entered the store, broke into several display cases and snatched merchandise, police said. The suspects quickly left the store and fled in a truck, which was later recovered in Hamilton. On Feb. 15, three people, estimated to be aged 16 to 18, attempted to rob the jewelry store. At about 3 p.m., they entered the store wearing masks and carrying backpacks. Their suspicious activity prompted store employees to implement theft prevention measures. Police said the measures stopped the suspects from entering any further and they left the store with no items stolen.
