💡 I am building an Apple Vision Pro app to control my home lights — and it remembers where I placed the controls, even after rebooting. Using ARKit’s World Anchors in a full space, the app persists virtual objects across launches and reboots. Now I just look at a light and toggle it on/off. Set it up once. Feels like the controls are part of my space. Thinking of making a tutorial — would that be helpful? 👇

I vibe coded an application with Gemini 3 that let's you pick up a pencil and actually start drawing on a piece of paper. The assets are 3D which adds another layer of immersion just purely for fun. Try it here You can't start drawing until you literally click on the pencil to pick it up. You can also switch to a marker or use the eraser on the pencil. If you don't like the drawing you can crumple the paper and throw it in the trash. It will then place a new piece of paper on the table and you have to pick up the pencil again to start drawing again. I added a learn section on the app that links to youtube channels where you can also learn how to draw. It's quite fun to use, it's basically like using a super simplified version of photoshop or paint. It works with a wacom tablet, just can't seem to figure out how to get pressure sensitivity enabled.

I found a great utility app called Dock Pro by Chad Milburn that gives your Vision Pro a floating dock with quick access to apps, bookmarks, iMessage contacts, and shows the time and battery percentage of your Vision Pro. It’s fully customizable, and you can even add separators or gaps. I keep it under my virtual ultrawide monitor all the time and use it to quickly open Music or start an iMessage conversation with my wife. So far, it has boosted my productivity a lot while working. The app’s design looks super cohesive with visionOS, which is always a big plus for me as a designer. I’m giving it a 4/5 Visions 🥽🥽🥽🥽 and highly recommend checking it out!

I just designed a full food recipe app with dishes from all over the world… in under 10 minutes using Grok Build with the new Composer 2.5 model And the entire process was basically just 3 simple steps: → Gave the idea I had in my mind and asked it to plan everything → Told it to execute the plan → Made a few layout adjustments …and done This honestly feels like a cheat code for app development.... It even perfectly added the ingredient quantity adjustments and allergen ingredients to avoid check list The speed at which “Grok Build” can go from idea → design → launch now is absolutely insane

When I saw that Assassin's Creed Unity was getting a 60 FPS update for current gen consoles, I honestly could not wait to see it with my own eyes. And after playing it, I realized it is not just 60 FPS. The game also seems to be upscaled to 4K, which is absolutely insane in my opinion and the game runs incredibly smooth! Many of you know that I have never been the biggest fan of Unity. But I have to admit, maybe it is just placebo, yet it genuinely feels like the game plays better. Almost like the controller responds more precisely to what I actually want to do. I tested it properly in stealth and of course in parkour, and I have to say, it feels amazing! For PC players this might not be anything special. But for someone like me, mainly playing on console, finally being able to experience Assassin’s Creed Unity at 60 FPS is a game changer. And by the way, co op also seems to be working normally again. This is honestly crazy to see!

It's official. OpenAI just launched SORA 2... and an entirely new social app. Truthfully... I wanted to hate this. The idea of an endless turbo slop scroller is just… nightmare fuel to me. BUT. The reason I think Sora (the app) might actually just work, is that it’s a multiplayer meme-creation machine. It’s fun. It doesn’t take itself seriously. I think of it like a super advanced evolution of JibJab. The group chats will love it. Now… personally, I'd guess that I will be churning after the novelty fades… but I wouldn’t be surprised if they built some meaningful network effects here. But let’s talk about the model. Sora 2 is an instant Veo 3 alternative. It actually produces better physics, better audio, and deeper realism imo. It can also generate up to 15 seconds of video. Where it falls short is that it’s limited to 720p right now. We can assume 1080p and 4k exist, but the compute cost associated would probably not be economically viable for OpenAI. Okay back to the app. You can create a model after your own likeness, for yourself OR other people to use as a “cameo.” You have control over who and how someone can use your likeness. I’m “rpn24” on the app. If you have access to the app (it’s invite-only for now) – go ahead and create whatever you want using me (for now). I'm not too worried because OpenAI leaned heavily into moderation for launch. Which is probably smart because I expect the media and general public to blast this at first. They’ve also taken further precautions to protect your likeness. You can not export or save a video with someone else's likeness on it, and screen recording is disabled. Also Sora is testing (first I know of its kind) an algorithm you can prompt.
