Something just launched that makes VS Code feel ancient. And im all in for it: Cline Desktop app, an open-source app for open-weight models (and you know how much i love open source) brings its coding agent into a standalone Cline Desktop app for Mac + Windows. Just open a project and tell it what you want to change. No need to open VS Code first. In Cline's demo, it adds priority filters to a task board, works through the code and runs the build. Glad to see the model choice stays open, too. You can bring your own API keys, use supported open-weight models and even switch models halfway through a project!

🚀 Update Next Scene V2 only 10 days after last version, now live on Hugging Face 👉 🎬 A LoRA made for Qwen Image Edit 2509 that lets you create seamless cinematic “next shots” — keeping the same characters, lighting, and mood. I trained this new version on thousands of paired cinematic shots to make scene transitions smoother, more emotional, and real. 🧠 What’s new: • Much stronger consistency across shots • Better lighting and character preservation • Smoother transitions and framing logic • No more black bar artifacts Built for storytellers using ComfyUI or any diffusers pipeline. Just use “Next Scene:” and describe what happens next , the model keeps everything coherent. 🧩 Try it directly in ComfyUI, or check the thread to launch it on fal . Open-source, no restrictions, made for filmmakers, animators, and dreamers. ComfyUI #AIcinema #LoRA #Flux #Qwen #ComfyUI #AIart #GenerativeVideo you can test on comfyui or to try on you can go here : and use my lora link : start your prompt with "Next Scene:" and lets go !!

Your PC can now run an entire AI studio for free. Locally Uncensored puts chat, image generation, video generation, and a coding agent in one desktop app for Windows and Linux. - Chat with local models and your own documents - Generate images and videos on your GPU - Write code and review changes before applying them - Run agents with tools and MCP connections Install it, pick a model, and start. It shows which models fit your hardware before you download. No Docker. No terminal. No cloud required for the local workflows. 100% Free. Open Source.

a clip of a stream did MILLIONS of views last week. the guy who cut it got a like the moment was already proven. someone just had to find it before it cooled off - and finding it is the slow part everyone does by hand so i built ClipVein. open source, MIT it doesn't scrape and it doesn't post for you. it attaches to your own chrome and reads the same For You feed you already scroll what it does, all in the repo in plain text: → pulls every streamer post with its real metrics -views, likes, reposts, video → keeps only clips that clear a view floor YOU set → ranks them on reach + engagement + freshness, and shows you WHY each one scored → hands you the top 3 links, ready to re-cut and repost for original views the honest parts are the point: it uses your session, so it never asks for a password it can't post for you. no auto-post, ever runs on your machine, not mine. MIT, tests green optional: grok scouts the feed, claude writes the caption repo in the first reply

✨ 3d models are now LIVE on Photo AI 😊 You can now turn any AI photo you make into a 3d model by pressing [ 📦 Make 3d model ] And then you can view it inside Photo AI or download it as a .GLB 3d model file It's still very early in AI generated 3d model world but it's nice to have this feature working already As always, the models will keep improving, so this feature will keep getting better (like it did with video, it sucked before, now it's getting passable) Next would be nice to switch to .USDZ so you can load it straight into your iPhone with ARKit and put it in your room Available now for everyone on the Premium and Ultra plan

$Seedance 2.5 tends to pick up more natural movement and follow 3D blockouts more closely—but sometimes the results are nearly 1:1 with MiniMax. MiniMax ran at a fraction of the credit cost in this Comfy Cloud test, or can be run locally for free. Both have their place. It comes down to the use case, the results you need, and how much room you have to iterate. To try this workflow, link below 👇$

MiniMax is the James Bond of AI agents. It uses the world's first open-weight model (MiniMax-M1), and it squeezes every bit of power from it. The agent takes a prompt and does more than any other agent in the market right now: 1. It can do Deep Research 2. It can write code 3. It can design web pages 4. It can build 3D models I built 5 different experiences using MiniMax and recorded them for you:

Big win for open-source LLMs! DeepSeek V4 Pro holds the top open-weights score on SWE-bench Verified, in the GPT-5.5 range. GLM 5.2 leads the open-weight intelligence index and sits near the closed frontier on long-horizon coding. But this leaderboard number is a weak proxy for real performance. It comes from one task set, run through one harness, served at one precision. The same weights can even score differently across providers, since many hosts quantize activations to fp8 and drift the model off its reference weights. Real performance is determined based on whether a model can read a repo, make coordinated edits across files, run the tests, and recover when one breaks. By that measure, the top open models hold up, but only inside the right harness. The teams that actually put DeepSeek V4 into production pipelines as a frontier substitute got there through the harness they built around the model, not by picking a stronger model. If you want to see this in practice, Cline (64k+ stars) has actually built that harness around open models, tuned so they run at production quality. And it's tuned so that these LLMs can run at production quality, with plan and act modes, checkpoints, and terminal feedback. ClinePass is the new access layer on top of it. It runs a curated set of those models inside Cline, narrowed to the ones tested for coding-agent use, with 2 to 5x the standard rate limits and no separate provider accounts, keys, or billing to track. The video below shows the setup, and I worked with the team to put this together. It runs alongside custom keys and local models as well, not in place of them.

STEVE-1: A Generative Model for Text-to-Behavior in Minecraft paper page: Constructing AI models that respond to text instructions is challenging, especially for sequential decision-making tasks. This work introduces an instruction-tuned Video Pretraining (VPT) model for Minecraft called STEVE-1, demonstrating that the unCLIP approach, utilized in DALL-E 2, is also effective for creating instruction-following sequential decision-making agents. STEVE-1 is trained in two steps: adapting the pretrained VPT model to follow commands in MineCLIP's latent space, then training a prior to predict latent codes from text. This allows us to finetune VPT through self-supervised behavioral cloning and hindsight relabeling, bypassing the need for costly human text annotations. By leveraging pretrained models like VPT and MineCLIP and employing best practices from text-conditioned image generation, STEVE-1 costs just $60 to train and can follow a wide range of short-horizon open-ended text and visual instructions in Minecraft. STEVE-1 sets a new bar for open-ended instruction following in Minecraft with low-level controls (mouse and keyboard) and raw pixel inputs, far outperforming previous baselines. We provide experimental evidence highlighting key factors for downstream performance, including pretraining, classifier-free guidance, and data scaling. All resources, including our model weights, training scripts, and evaluation tools are made available for further research.

Many people have asked how I make my original videos look so clear, smooth, and polished. For video upscaling and enhancement, I consistently rely on the suite of tools available from Beth Allison Labs. The two models I use most often are Astra 2 and Starlight Precise 2.5. Rather than competing with each other, they serve different purposes. There’s no single “best” model, just the right tool for the specific job. If you're creating content with Seedance 2.0, these upscaling models make an excellent addition to your workflow. Below, you'll find examples processed with Astra 2, and in the comments I'll share results from Starlight Precise 2.5. Astra 2 is Topaz's next-generation creative video upscaling model, featuring adjustable enhancement levels and prompting capabilities. It excels at correcting common AI-generated video issues such as warped details, flickering, and inconsistent textures, helping AI content appear more polished and realistic. Best used for: • AI-generated videos that need significant detail enhancement • Footage with artifacts, distortions, or missing textures • Projects that benefit from additional creative reconstruction

Seedance 2.0 - Cinematic Summoning VFX Prompt This prompt generates a multi-cut VFX showcase with a clear progression. It’s designed for realistic 3D with grounded physics, natural character motion and readable, production-style VFX. You don’t need to define the summon, but you can specify what is being summoned if you want control. If you leave it open, the model decides based on the character sheet. You can find gpt image 2 character sheet prompt in the quoted post. Also, this isn’t limited to summoning. You can reuse the same VFX structure for anything, just swap the effect logic. Just change the parts about summoning. Prompt in the replies 👇

New open-source agent harness just landed! I got early access to TrueForge by TrueFoundry and have been running it locally for the past few days. The harness layer deserves as much attention as the model, and open source matters here because you can inspect the loop, run it on your own infrastructure, and swap to the latest or cheaper models. TrueForge handles the runtime work that makes an agent reliable. It drives the tool-calling loop, manages context, coordinates subagents, and executes code in a sandbox, with any model you choose. Every tool call re-sends the growing context to the model, so in practice the harness controls most of what an agent costs to run. A few things stood out from my testing and their published benchmarks. Vendor-Neutral by design. It runs OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models alongside open-weight models like Kimi, GLM, and DeepSeek. Model routing is a setting, and you can send each task to the model that fits it. On a 14-task enterprise agent benchmark, it matched the accuracy of Claude Managed Agents running the same Opus 4.8 model at roughly 30% lower cost per run (3.8M tokens vs 10M for the same answers). Routing the same tasks to GLM-5.2 held accuracy and brought cost down by about 75%, around $3 per run instead of $12. Fully self-hosted and Open Source (MIT License). I had it running locally with one command, with sandboxed code execution working out of the box. It's time to own your agent harness. Thanks to TrueFoundry for partnering on this post.

GPT-6 Astra vs Kimi K3. I'm comparing these because the gap between US models and Chinese models is already getting small. If US AI labs slow down, they will be the ones most affected by it. > Astra did it in one shot 6m 20s and $8. > Kimi K3 got almost the same result, but I had to use 2 follow-up prompts. Total: 12 min and $6.35. The results are almost identical. If US labs slow down, China takes the AI race. They will ship Astra-level open-weight models. China is already good at this. Open weights become the default. That's a nightmare for US labs.
