I'm going to announce how I literally purchased a brand new CONSUMER iPhone 17, set up a BRAND NEW iCloud, new number... and my sysdiagnosis shows within hours the same ENTERPRISE tech/malware "management profile" was added to it without my consent WITHIN HOURS. A brand new CONSUMER DEVICE, I paid for upfront and had no ties to my prior infected device (iPhone and MacBook) made UNUSABLE due to apple allowing hook level implants on CONSUMER DEVICES to spy on journalists, I presume? The new device decided to also add another translate app that cannot be found or deleted-- still labeled as 'null' just like my last device and allowing keyboard and remote access to a "Pallas", along with over riding my settings. Brand new device, same exploits. Privacy is a fundamental human right?? This is destined to fail. In these economic times, the people you need to buy your phone will not be able to buy it. And, no matter how many you sell, it will be seen as a failure.

That's insane. Considering the Galaxy Fold 8 Ultra is 1800 bucks or so. And they've been doing it for years. I don't care for Apple stuff but I'd chose the Fold over whatever their foldable is

I think they’re in for a surprise. I’ve bought the new iPhone every year for nearly two decades. I will not be buying it this year, especially with a $200 price increase and foldable price is laughable.

Odd comment about the price. Although the raw materials plus assembly cost is -$760, the decade of R&D to minimize the crease cost $60 gazillion, and when amortized across the 100,000 they’ll successfully build and sell in the next year, that means the true cost far exceeds the price.

I wouldn’t spend that much money on the phone. OMG that’s freaking ridiculous. I get my phone refurbished and it works just like a brand new iPhone I could care less. This is getting ridiculous.

And most will buy on credit with monthly payments plus interest.
