🇨🇳 Chongqing in the day without the lights honestly looks a lot different It's more gray and dare I say a lot of the buildings look quite derelict, kinda like when I visited Mongkok in Hong Kong A lot of spots need some heavy maintenance, the stairs in this square have broken tiles, the main bridge of this square that's I think at the 22nd floor and full of tourists all day has its cables and bolts rusting away, I'm not a structural engineer but looks dodgy to me I do think the lights at night are cool and impressive though but it'd be even more impressive if Chongqing would also be beautiful in the day without them One relatedd thing I noticed that many Chinese cities and stations and airports do not have a lot of trees or plants, and it makes everything look kinda cold and functional. Like compare Singapore's Changi Airport with any Chinese airport or train station, it has much more aesthetic I do know that Singapore is respected here a lot, as it is in the West, and I think in many things China can model itself after Singapore. Singapore is a strict rule based society which it needs, and China needs too, or it'd turn into chaos. And Singapore isn't perfect, but it's quite pretty and comfortable to look at aesthetic wise with plants everywhere and even on top of buildings and inside their architecture But then again maybe we're just at the start. Start with some fancy lights, and then start cleaning up the city and doing more maintenance I feel China is great at rapidly building new stuff out of the ground but then I don't see them maintaining it so well. In Chongqing particularly, I see so many things rusting or chipped and broken and it shouldn't be like that I think Chengdu felt much better maintained, I wonder why? Another thing is I see is that you don't see this stuff on YouTube Shorts or TikTok because it's short videos and then the fancy lights get easy views (like my video below of course too!) because you don't need to show many of the details

- AssetHub officially launched - Using Metahuman Component as parts system in UEFN This is crazy! Just discovered I can use the Metahuman Component in UEFN as a general parts system! Perfect for modular characters. So I had to test it out. First step: character design. With GPT Image 2 I got some really solid characters to work with. These are perfect to test anime/ lowpoly models as well. Gavin Harvey also officially launched so I jumped on a fresh workflow to build the first one. Since I’m aiming for an anime/flat shaded style, I chose Tripo P1 to generate straight to low poly models. Results were perfect for me, UV and textured directly done. Did the main assembly in Blender. I transferred weights onto the new parts (like the jacket here) and used proportional editing to tweak vertices so everything fits together nicely. Then into UEFN / Unreal Engine: For the two-tone shadow look, I made a material that uses the sun direction as a mask. To make all the modular parts work together, I set up a blueprint with the body skeletal mesh as the base, and all the other parts attached as children. Now the really cool part: the Metahuman Component actually lets you plug in extra body parts directly. And every skeletal mesh can have its own Control Rig slot. That means you can layer procedural animations on top of your main animation setup. I used it for procedural eye blinking and hair physics. Since every part is separate, swapping variations is super easy while keeping all animations perfectly synced!

I keep seeing scores of people saying that unless China intervenes in the Middle-East, it will somehow be their end. Meanwhile, fascinatingly, here’s what Oriana Skylar Mastro, who used to be the Pentagon's top strategic planner on China and is now a professor at Stanford, has to say about it 👇 In a nutshell, she says that the U.S. would love nothing more than to "drag" China into conflicts like that with Iran - and she herself has "often tried to articulate recommendations" to trap China in that way - but China never takes the bait, which in her view shows that they're "very strategically disciplined". It also reflects the fact that China, unlike the U.S. obviously, "do not believe in foreign military intervention as a tool of power": they believe in "using political and economic tools." She asks rhetorically: "the war in Afghanistan cost the equivalent of 10 Belt and Road initiatives. So which one is more impactful on the world?" She is adamant that the U.S.'s renewed involvement in the Middle East is an unequivocal mistake. As she explains, not only it will prevent once more the mythical "pivot to Asia," which is obviously in itself in China's interests, but it will only further deplete U.S. resources without much to show for it in the end. Right now, I just see this - working and designing - as another way of expressing myself. That’s all it is. At least for now, I don’t have any plans beyond that. So I know there are people who hope I might do something more with this, and on the other hand, there may also be some fans who start to wonder, “Is he planning something?” - and maybe feel a bit uneasy about it. Because it could seem like I’m taking on too much or not focusing on my main work. But I’m very aware of that myself, and honestly, I don’t want that to happen. I really don’t. So to be clear - I’ll say it firmly - I don’t have any such plans right now. It all started simply because I wanted to try wearing clothes from different brands, and eventually, I thought, “I want to wear what I want,” or “I want to create something I’d like to wear.” That’s the situation I’m in. I just want to keep expressing myself. As long as it doesn’t become a burden for me or interfere with my schedule, I’d love to keep doing fun and creative things and share them with our ATINYs. So… it’s really just that. Since I’ve been using something like a stylized “HJ” - kind of like a personal mark - some people might start thinking, “Oh, is he launching a brand?” But absolutely not. That’s not the case at all. I’ve just been adding that mark to the clothes I make because I think it looks nice, and it kind of makes it feel like it’s mine. That’s really all there is to it. To be honest, I do want to make a tag eventually, but the design isn’t fully clear in my head yet - I haven’t figured it out. So for now, I’m just using the logo that’s in my mind. And honestly, it’s not like I’m trying to hide anything or doing something secretly behind my members’ backs. I just wanted to talk about it openly and put it out there. Because that way, I can really have fun with it. And if our ATINYs say, “Oh, that looks nice,” then I can just feel happy about it as it is. And even if I end up making something that doesn’t turn out so great sometimes, if ATINYs say, “You made that?” - even that, I can just laugh and enjoy it for what it is. So that’s what it is. That’s really the reason. Continuously creating - not just in music, but in other areas too - gives me so much energy. And I truly believe that this kind of creativity brings new inspiration to my performances as well. I think that’s what it is - the process of constantly making something new gives me another kind of drive, another kind of motivation. That’s what it feels like to me. So… that’s why I enjoy it. And honestly, that’s also why - even more so - I feel more motivated when it comes to things like choreography practice, or even just the basics of rapping. It makes me want to put in even more effort.

I'm up late with the rest of you building AI agents with the new AI browser from Genspark. We can see where this is all going: a new kind of operating system -- one that is very different than the Microsoft centric way that I've been working for 20 years. There are several things that these new agentic browsers bring to you: 1. They let you change how you browse. With an old browser like Google Chrome, you go to your email, Facebook, or X. 2. With these new browsers, you tell it where to go and what to do for you. 3. It can even build software for you. At the end of this video, I have it building me a little YouTube uploading utility, which is very helpful. 4. They have a ton of "applications" built in. Think of it as a new kind of office suite. Docs. Spreadsheets. Slide decks. And much more. All built with AI, not bolted on the side like with Microsoft's Office. 5. They have AI models built "underneath" so you can work privately and cheaply. There’s a lot of new choices you have to make with browsers like this. I’ve been playing with a bunch of them. Some have better user interfaces than others. Some have different versions, slide components, or applications. The reason I like Genspark is because they ship so fast. I’ve been watching this company since its very beginnings, and every week they ship new things. Just yesterday, they shipped a new photo editing feature for my iPhone. I upload a photo and then I can just talk to it and edit it with my voice. It's really cool. I try to reward companies that ship at such a fast rate and that are shipping innovation that improves our lives. It's not that I'm going to stop using Google Chrome. My whole life has been there for, I don't know, almost 20 years now. This is a different way of working and it gives me a space to run my AI tasks that's different than Google Chrome. I run them side by side. One doing old stuff, one doing new stuff. I can keep using Google Chrome for my old stuff, like my email and my calendar. And I use GenSpark or one of the new AI browsers to do new AI-centric things. All sorts of new things that these new agentic browsers open up! Have you tried it, or one of the other new ones yet? Pro tip: use a screenshot and you’ll get way better results. Let’s get into the details. For icons, I prompt: “Use Iconify {icon set name}”. Most people use Lucide, but there are hundreds of open-source sets on Iconify like Solar, HeroIcons, Iconoir, Phosphor, etc. Just need to mention in the prompt. Same for custom fonts. For the animation, I prompt: “Animate fade in, slide in, blur in, element by element. Use 'both' instead of 'forwards'. Don't use opacity 0.”. This creates a subtle intro animation the first time users land on your page. Gemini 3 is an excellent animator. For example, I created the beam animation with this prompt: “Add noodles that connect and beam animate into the right circle. Add subtle details to the right beam animation circle with sonar and decorations.” For background animation, I use Unicorn Studio. Remix one of their templates and watch people click on your cover like crazy. What can I say, people love lasers. In the hero or right below it, social proof is super important. AI always creates basic buttons, which is fine 99% of the time. But Gemini 3 now sets a high bar for baseline design, so you will need to stand out. That’s why I put the extra human touch on animations and lickable buttons. I suggest browsing UIVerse and Codepen for buttons and reference the code in your prompt: “Change main button {code} and secondary button {code}. Add a 1px border beam animation around the pill-shaped main button on hover.”. Once you’re happy with the hero, you’ll want to craft new sections based on your business.
