@priscialva I wish Canada would close our border to USians, with the numerous disease outbreaks they have, their deficient healthcare system, and their official anti-vaccine stance. The fact that they stopped tracking the progress of these outbreaks is also a source of great concern.

JUST IN: Biden revives Trump executive order on illegal immigration into the United States, says, "Today, I am moving past Republican obstruction and utilizing the executive authorities available to me as President to address the border issue. Ideally, I would have preferred to tackle this through bipartisan legislation, as that's the only sustainable way to fix our broken system, hire more border patrol agents, asylum officers, and judges. However, Republicans have left me with no choice. "I am announcing actions to bar migrants who cross our southern border unlawfully from receiving asylum. Migrants will be restricted from receiving asylum at our southern border unless they seek it through an established lawful process. For those who come to the United States legally, for example, by making an appointment and arriving at a port of entry, asylum will still be available. "However, if an individual chooses not to use our legal pathways and comes without permission, against the law, they will be restricted from receiving asylum and staying in the United States. This action will help us gain control of our border and restore order to the process. "This ban will remain in place until the number of people trying to enter illegally is reduced to a manageable level for our system. We will carry out this order consistent with all our responsibilities under international law." Under this current administration, several caravans have left Tapachula in southern Mexico making their way to central Mexico looking for work. Reality is, they gradually make it to the border. Piedras Negras, across from Eagle Pass, is reporting 50-60 daily migrant arrivals. I reached out to my contacts and it turns out the migrant shelter in Irapuato, central Mexico, has been active assisting migrants. It’s the same place where they are once again getting on the train. Are we about to witness another wave of migrants at the border? They’ve been waiting in Mexico for 2 years now and are gradually getting closer and closer to the border. Video was taken several days ago.
