This video is spreading on X showing a FerroMex train in Zacatecas, Mexico with immigrants allegedly “heading to our southern border”. This kind of thing has been happening for the last 60+ years. It happened under Trump, it happened under Bush and Obama and now Biden. Biden’s immigration policy is not much different than Trump’s was. The border is no more “open” than it was 3 years ago. Remember the “caravans” under Trump? Instead of posting videos of people who want to come here for a better life and pretending as if they are mostly bad people, how about we figure out a way to work together to come up with an actual solution. The recent surge has more to do with chaos and the economies in South America and Central America than any US policy. Those complaining the loudest usually aren’t offering solutions so let’s hear your solutions.

Poland and Germany have introduced border controls on their shared border This is happening for the first time in 40 years of the Schengen Zone’s existence, according to DW. At the same time, the Poles have also set up border posts on the border with Lithuania. Initially, German border guards were stationed on the internal EU border to prevent migrants from entering Germany from Poland. In response, the Polish authorities took reciprocal measures and also closed the border with Lithuania due to migrants transiting through to Germany. Ukrainian refugees are complaining about the new measures, as the border checkpoints are hindering their movement between countries. - AN

Update: The first known caravan of migrants in 2025 has departed yesterday from Tapachula, Chiapas in Mexico. Under President Claudia Sheinbaum, this is the 9th known caravan that is departing from southern Mexico. Their goal is to reach the border before President Trump takes office on January 20th. Caravans of people do tend to travel slower, so making the trek even to one of the closest points in the USA, like the Mc Allen-Hidalgo International Bridge, will take most of them about 16 days of actual walking. With needing to stop for sleep and to eating, it may take well over a month of traveling. I don’t expect them to make it. Unless they somehow catch a train or find a car to help them along the way. Let’s pray that they don’t find that train or car to help them!

MOTHERS AND “THE PATRONAS” A group of women from central Mexico has been supporting migrant children for years—children who pass through their borders and are often pushed back by the U.S. system. Las Patronas help thousands of people along the shared border between Mexico and the United States. Although they rarely receive much attention, Las Patronas are a women’s collective that goes every day to the railway tracks used by the train known as La Bestia to deliver food to migrants riding on top of it. The group distributes aid packages twice a day. Children who make this journey are far more vulnerable than adults. Death and mutilation under La Bestia pose a severe risk, along with extortion and murder by criminal gangs and corrupt Mexican officials. For migrant women, rape and abuse are constant threats. Today, they distribute around 30 kilograms of food daily—bread, rice, and beans that they cook themselves. With these rations, they are able to feed an estimated 800 people per day. In 2025, they celebrated their 30th anniversary.

Y’all, MULTIPLE TIMES throughout the video the white lady & border patrol mention this is NOT at a border crossing but some point that is within 100 miles of a border crossing. Again, THIS WAS NOT AT A BORDER CROSSING. It was a checkpoint in the US WITHIN 100 miles of the border. So.... Border Patrol can have checkpoints up to 100 miles from our actual border. Drive through west Texas and Southern New Mexico, you'll hit a border patrol checkpoint. They will ask you your citizenship. This has been in place for decades....
