Leveraging Claude Code for the dashboard build is a masterclass. When you’re iterating on complex components, how do you prevent the 'system drift' where it starts deviating from the initial Tailwind constraints? I’ve been trying to keep the context window tight, but it still loves to hallucinate class names eventually.

I just tell it to stop 😅

telling it to stop is the ultimate prompt. (manual control always wins over logic drift).

Something underrated about this: the result looks polished not because Claude Code guessed right on the first prompt. It's the feedback loop. Describing what looks off, giving a reference, iterating. That's what separates generated from actually designed. The whole UI/UX of came out this way. 100% Claude Code, no designer. What made it work wasn't a clever initial prompt but consistent visual feedback across dozens of iterations.

looks like solves the hardest part. Claude Code gives you a working dashboard in minutes, making it look designed takes 3x longer without guidance like this

the Wispr Flow combo is underrated. voice to code to design is a workflow most people haven't figured out yet. watching you build this way is pretty eye-opening.

claude as a design collaborator is genuinely underrated. the constraint is still taste — but that part you've clearly got.

steve switching to claude code as primary is the signal a lot of designers have been waiting for without realizing it. when the person who literally wrote the book on visual polish says the prompt is the new canvas, the fence-sitters finally start moving.

Taste is so important for website design in this era. But I have a question, did you already have a picture in mind before you started coding, or did you just let Claude Code generate one first and then tell it what you thought about the page?

The Claude Code workflow is genuinely wild — watched this and immediately started building components I’d been putting off for weeks 🔥 Dark mode dashboard components are where I’ve been living lately — the contrast decisions alone could fill a whole video. Would love to see a dark mode episode someday 👀

the Wispr Flow combo is smart. voice-driven design iteration removes the bottleneck of translating visual ideas into text prompts. curious if you found it faster for layout decisions vs component styling.

you can use whatfont plugin for the browser to see the font properties rather than inspecting every time.. btw.. i love it.. great tuts.. i wish i can say exact things i want.. i started yapping when i prompt with voice
