Today I tried VR sim racing for the first time and it completely blew my mind 🔥 After just a few minutes I basically disappeared from my studio and got fully immersed in racing. VR lets you visually sit inside the car, and with the wheel and pedals you actually feel like you’re driving it. At first you’re mostly learning the car and the track. Remembering where to brake, where you can push the speed, how the corners flow. You slowly start to understand the car, feel its limits, and figure out what it’s capable of. That’s so cool. After about 2 hours things slowly started to come together. That feeling when you nail a corner is incredibly satisfying. And when you hit 300 km/h in an F1 car, it looks and feels insane. Honestly this was one of the coolest tech experiences I’ve had in a long time. VR + sim racing hardware is on another level. If you’re into cars, gaming, or VR, I highly recommend trying it at least once.

Drove in left-hand Japan with no prior training on such. Learned by decomposing the road into all of its parts. So figured out that you needed to drive in the left instantly. But then he said LiDAR is demonstrating itself to be safer. So I stuck up my hand and asked for a situation where LiDAR and camera is safer than camera only approaches, which his company sells too. “A child all in black at night, particularly around a corner.” So tonight after I drove my friend home at 2:30 a.m. I studied this in deep detail in my wife’s Model Y with hardware 4 and Tesla Self Driving controlling the car. 1. Cameras can see far more than humans can at night. 2. Modern cars come with matrix headlights. Which go around the turn and illuminate anywhere a car can turn. 3. Every intersection has a light on almost every intersection. Where there is none why would a child in black be playing on the street in the dark. 4. Tesla has a “zoomed in” telephoto camera as one of the cameras under the windshield so it can actually see ahead far better than a human can. Plus the other night this car drove around a clump of dirt and rocks on the road at 50 mph. I didn’t even see it until the car had already quickly turned around it. I give you his speech here. But you gotta come up with better examples of why a car company needs to spend “low thousands” (his quote, not mine) per car more on LiDARs than that.

Any of the following methods could be used to determine occupancy: - Weight detection 🏋️ - Seat belts fastened 💺 - Movie or game being played 🕹️ - CABIN CAMERA! 📷 Using a combination of these along with sending a notification through the app we could make sure no child ever dies in a hot or cold Tesla. In the video I show that the car shuts off with my son in the car unless he is in the drivers seat. The car will turn back on if the screen is touched which is good. But if the child is too small then it could turn out badly.

Rapidfire epic moments on FSD V14.3.5 1) FSD turns right into a small alley that only fits one car at a time, sees oncoming car, reverses out of alley to make space, realizes oncoming car is actually parking, re-enters alley. 2) Insane speed to vehicle cues. As FSD approaches the intersection at the end of the small alley, it yields for traffic, but at the SECOND the car to our left slows, it realizes they’re letting us go and executes with zero hesitation. You can see the nose of the vehicle on the far left side of the shot here to gauge reaction speed. 3) FSD approaches railroad traffic, clears the vehicle intersection, but stops shy of first RR track instead of queueing behind lead car, ignoring the human who decided to foolishly stop in front of the track. This is why I’m bullish. This tech is just a constant mindblower when you’re out here using it.

You’re backed up on a hard drive.” The timeline still thinks Neuralink is a medical device. A clever trick to help paralyzed patients move a cursor with their thoughts. They are grading a civilization-ending technology on its first feature. Musk: “You can always restore that brain state into a biological body or maybe a robot or something.” Your memories. Your personality. Your conscious identity. Stored. Backed up. Transferred to a new vessel when the first one fails. That is not medicine. That is the termination of the oldest contract in human history. Every civilization ever built was organized around one immovable certainty. You are born. You get a handful of decades. You disappear.
