Dear ICP community, the Internet Computer has now been running strong for 5 years 👏👏👏 Here is a celebratory preview of ICP "cloud engines," the sovereign frontier cloud technology the network shall soon provide from Main points: — Cloud engines enable anyone to spin up their own sovereign frontier cloud. The technology involves an extraordinary inventive step, in which cloud is created from a mathematically secure network of nodes. The nodes run as part of the Internet Computer network ( but are selected and configured by the cloud engine's owner. — The frontier cloud provided by engines is strongly focused on enabling AI agents to build and update online applications and services for us. The world is changing fast, and nearly all new online apps and services are already being built with the help of AI, and thus cloud engines target the future of cloud. — Software hosted on cloud engines is tamperproof, which means that it is immune to infrastructure hacks, because it runs inside a mathematically secure network protocol, rather than on computers directly. This means that AI agents, and those building with them, don't need to have a security team in the loop, or to trust someone else's security team. This is crucial, because in the future, non technical people will demand the freedom to build with full automation — where they just need to issue instructions to AI about what to build, and don't need to worry about anything or anyone else. Of course, apps and services running on engines are also vastly safer from the new breed of hacker being enabled by frontier AI. (The cloud engines themselves are also "tamperproof." Even if a hacker gains physical access to some portion of a cloud engine's nodes, and can make arbitrary changes, the computations and data of the hosted apps and services cannot be corrupted or interrupted so long as the network's fault bounds aren't exceeded. The recent hack of Vercel, a major cloud platform, which gave hackers access to the apps it hosted, provides additional perspective on the importance of this advantage.) — Software hosted on cloud engines is guaranteed to run, so long as a sufficient number of the engine's nodes are running. This means that AI can build applications and services without the need to have a human systems admin team constantly tinkering with the underlying platform to keep it running, which is again crucial, because in the future, non technical people will expect the freedom to use AI to build without the support of others. — New frontier programming language technology, in the form of the Motoko language developed by Caffeine Labs, leverages seminal "orthogonal persistence" technology that unifies program logic and data to deliver further unlocks for AI (Motoko is the first computer language being developed that targets agents that are writing software rather than humans engineers per se). Nowadays, AI can build and update production apps at a prodigious rate, even at the speed of conversation. But it can also make mistakes, and there's a risk that an update it creates might be "lossy" in the sense it causes some transformed data to be lost. Again, in this new world, it's both undesirable and impractical for everyone to have to have a systems admin team on-hand to detect lossy updates and roll them back, but Motoko provides a solution: it can detect new software updates are lossy before they are applied, reducing potentially catastrophic errors by AI to harmless coding retries. — Software hosted on cloud engines is "serverless" but unlike traditional serverless software, directly it directly incorporates data through "orthogonal persistence." Another key purpose is simplify backend software logic and fuel the modeling power of AI by increasing abstraction (sorry for the technical language!!!). Put simply, this enables AI to produce more sophisticated backends, faster, and at dramatically lower costs, as measured by the number AI API tokens consumed during coding. (Tip for the technical: orthogonal persistence is a new paradigm where "the program is the database," and data lives inside program variables, which is possible because it's as if hosted software runs forever in persistent memory). — An expanding database of skills at shall make it possible to develop and directly deploy apps and services to your cloud engines directly from Claude Code, Perplexity, Codex and other AI platforms. Further, your account on can be connected, so that new apps and updates created through conversation automatically appear hosted from your cloud engine. In the future, R&D is going to be very seamless. You converse with AI, and your secure and unstoppable apps or services are created or updated. Cloud engines are designed to directly support this "self-writing cloud" future where we can work hands-free. — Tech sovereignty is becoming a huge issue worldwide, with governments and corporations seeking to create sovereign tech stacks owing to geopolitical tensions. Increasingly, people are realizing that tech provided by foreign nations can come with hidden backdoors and kills switches, from the base platform, right up through hosted apps and services. ICP technology is open source, and those building on ICP using AI own their own source code. When you have the source code, you can verify that there are no backdoors, and when you own the source code thanks to AI, you can update it at will, freeing you from vendor lock-in. But cloud engines take sovereignty much further... — You create a cloud engine by selecting the nodes that will be combined. You can choose the class of nodes used, and their number, but more importantly, you can choose who operates the nodes, and where they are located. Almost any configuration is possible, because the Internet Computer scales the security privileges afforded to hosted software within the network according to configuration (software hosted on cloud engines can directly interoperate with software on other engines and traditional subnets, but base restrictions are applied according to security rules). A cloud engine can be created within a region such as Europe, to comply with regs such as GDPR, or completely within a sovereign state like Switzerland or Pakistan. But cloud engines go further still... — Sovereignty is also about freedom from vendor lock-in. Cloud engines are essentially ICP (Internet Computer Protocol) network configurations, and this means the underlying compute nodes they combine can be swapped out without interrupting their hosted apps and services. This is a big deal. In addition, cloud engines now support nodes that are instances running on Big Tech's clouds, in addition to nodes that are dedicated specialized hardware, as per the Gen I and Gen II nodes that dominate the Internet Computer today. For example, it is possible to have an engine running across different AWS data centers, say, and then reconfigure the engine to run across a mixture of AWS, Google, Azure and Hetzner for even more resilience, without the users of hosted apps and services noticing a thing. That's true freedom. — Sovereign AI is becoming increasingly important too, and cloud engines allow special "AI nodes" to be added to them, so that hosted software can perform inference on hardware provisioned by the owner from a location the owner has selected. Even though the AI nodes are only accessible within the cloud engine, they can still benefit from the forthcoming Internet Intelligence Gateway (IG), which will make it possible to validate inference performed on key frontier open weights LLMs, even when the inference is performed on completely independent AI clouds. When the results of inference are received, this technology can verify that neither the prompt+context (input) nor the inference result (output) have been modified, and that the results were produced by the precise LLM expected. This ensures that AI clouds don't cheat by running inference on cheaper models than are being paid for, and bad actors aren't modifying the inputs or outputs to surreptitiously insert advertising into results, say, or change facts, or insert malware when code is being generated. What's super cool about this technology is the cost of the verification is scalable. A very valuable additional security can be achieved with only 1-2% of extra cost. — Scaling apps and services when they hit capacity limits is another thorny problem that cloud engines help the world address. Engines make scaling possible without rewriting or reconfiguring software. The query workload capacity of hosted software can be horizontally scaled simply by adding new nodes to an engine, and nodes can also be added in geographical proximity to demand. Meanwhile, update workload capacity can first be scaled-up by swapping an engine's nodes out for the next class up, and then when no larger class of node is available, horizontally scaled-out by "splitting" the engine into two, which doubles available capacity. (Technical tip: horizontally scaling update capacity by splitting engines requires multi-canister architectures). — For those who have been following how Caffeine builds apps that can efficiently store large numbers of files, I should mention that apps built on cloud engines will also support the new ICP Blob Storage cloud network (since cloud engines currently have up to about 3 TB of memory, which apps storing large amounts of files can easily exceed). We are also working on allowing blob storage nodes to be added to cloud engines, to enable sovereign mass blob storage within an engine, similarly to how AI nodes can be added currently. — Lastly, but certainly not least, I should mention that cloud engines are multi-blockchain capable, and ready for digital assets, thanks to the clever math at their core. For example, an e-commerce service built on a cloud engine can securely accept and custody stablecoin payments, or a multi-chain DEX could be hosted. Further, engines can support software autonomy (software orchestrated and controlled by other autonomous software, in a decentralized way) and can themselves be orchestrated by SNS technology, and thus run autonomously too. Today, though, the focus is on *mainstream* cloud. This year, the cloud industry will generate approximately one trillion dollars in revenue. That number is already huge, but is expected to grow to two trillion dollars by 2030. After years of continuous development, which have seen more than $500m spent on R&D, the Internet Computer network is now tacking directly toward this mainstream cloud market with cloud engine technology. In their first version, cloud engines are not meant to be a cloud panacea. For example, currently they are not ideal for working with big data. You should use something like DataBricks for that. Cloud engines are carefully targeted at enabling AI to produce traditional online applications and services, including SaaS, in a safer and more productive way, which represents a new market segment with tremendous potential. Of course, DFINITY will continue to work relentlessly to push forward ICP's capabilities, so expect further developments. It's worth mentioning that this cloud segment isn't just about creating new apps and services using AI, it's also about replacing legacy systems and apps built on super expensive SaaS services. Caffeine Labs is working to produce technology (Caffeine Snorkel) that can study an enterprise's legacy systems and app built on SaaS, create replacement systems and apps, and migrate the data, while supporting key stakeholders through the process over email and chat, with full automation. Thus the legacy systems and SaaS markets shall also be addressed by cloud engines. Zooming out, and reasoning in a more metaphysical way, we believe, as we always have, that there is room for a new kind of cloud created by mathematical networks, that provides seminal advances in the fields of security and resilience, as well as true sovereignty and freedom from lock-in. That this same technology, with the help of additional technologies like orthogonal persistence and Motoko, enables AI to build for us without the need for so much oversight, and to create more backend sophistication while consuming fewer AI API tokens, enables ICP to bring game-changing advances to the world. Cloud engines will work synergistically with the Intelligence Gateway, which will enable apps and services running on engines to seamlessly leverage AI, wherever that AI is running, while providing verifiability at extremely low cost for open weights frontier models. We believe that cloud engines represent an inflection point in the storied history of the Internet Computer project, and I'm very proud to be sharing the details with you on the network's fifth birthday 💪 I'll be back with more news soon!!

We’re excited to introduce AgentAuth—the comprehensive auth solution designed for AI agents! We understand the pain every developer experiences regarding authentication—managing OAuth flows for Gmail, handling API keys for Linear, or setting up permissions across multiple services. It's complex enough with traditional apps. However, AI agents add an extra layer of complexity. Traditional auth solutions were not designed with this agent-specific requirement in mind. Think about it—say you're building an agent to pull data from Salesforce, send updates through Slack, and log issues in GitHub. Each service requires different authentication—OAuth2, API keys, you name it—and your agent needs to work seamlessly on your users' behalf. Building and managing all that is a massive headache, right? That’s precisely where AgentAuth by comes in. • It supports 250+ apps across categories such as CRMs, ticketing, productivity, etc. • Compatible with 15+ Agentic Frameworks, including , LlamaIndex 🦙, CrewAI etc • Offers self-hosting and white-labeling options. • Provides a unified dashboard to monitor user accounts. It takes care of all the complex authentication flows—OAuth, API Key, Basic, JWT, token refresh, and more—in the backend, so you can focus on building what truly matters for your users. This is ideal for AI developers building real-world AI automation involving multiple application interactions. Check out AgentAuth now -

Merry Christmas Eve, dwellers. 🎄🐲 I have a request from a friend that may apply to many people out there, but here are my thoughts… (I apologize for the lengthy response, but this topic is something I also care deeply about) You are doing better than you think. When you feel anxious, it becomes easy to downsize your own efforts. When you look at what you made, you focus only on what could be better. You compare it to an ideal that no one else is holding you to. With that mentality, you forget how much care, time, and effort you already put in. If you keep telling yourself that you are not good at anything, pause for a moment and understand this: that thought isn't true. Anxiety and low self-esteem change how you interpret your own work. Your mind learns to look for flaws and dismiss everything that went right. So even when you make something solid or meaningful, it feels small to you. That does not mean it is small. It means your perception is narrowed by fear and pressure. Perfectionism often hides behind self-criticism. If something is not flawless, your mind labels it as worthless. But that standard is impossible and unfair. Growth does not happen at the finish line. It happens in the unfinished, imperfect attempts you keep doing. The work you are making is not insignificant. It shows growth and someone who is learning while still trying. That matters far more than perfection ever will. You do not need to see your full potential right now. You do not need to prove your worth by being exceptional or reach some invisible standard to justify your effort. You just need to keep doing it and allow your work to exist as it is. Others can see the value even when you cannot. If you cannot see your potential right now, that is okay. You are not broken. You are not lazy. You are not wasting anything. These patterns were learned over time, and they can be unlearned with patience and support. You are not behind, and you are not failing.

When healthcare feels overwhelming, look for one concrete thing you can do. Right now, the Department of Education has opened a public comment period on a proposed rule that would remove nursing from the “professional degree” classification. That sounds technical. It isn’t. If this change goes through, nurses and advanced practice providers could lose access to certain federal loan programs that make advanced training financially possible. That affects who can afford to become a nurse practitioner. It affects who stays in the workforce. It affects access to care. As a reconstructive microsurgeon, I cannot care for the volume of women I serve without the nurses and nurse practitioners on my team. They are not assistants. They are licensed, credentialed professionals practicing at the highest level of their training. They are the backbone of American healthcare. If you care about access to safe, high quality care, this matters. The public comment period is open and closes on March 2nd. Here is how to leave a comment. It takes five minutes: 1. Go to 2. Type into search “reimagining and improving student education” 3. Click “Submit a Formal Comment” 4. Write a short statement. It can be simple. For example: “I support recognizing nursing as a professional degree. Limiting access to federal loan programs will worsen workforce shortages and reduce access to care.” 5. Enter your information and click submit You do not need to be a doctor or a nurse to comment. You just need to care. Small actions matter. Words matter. Please take a few minutes to support recognizing nursing for what it is: a profession.

🇪🇸🇪🇺 SPANISH MEP: EU THREATENS WHOEVER DISOBEYS - TODAY IT'S X, TOMORROW IT'S YOU Jorge Buxadé, Spanish MEP from Vox, has delivered a blunt truth: the EU is no longer defending freedom, it's punishing it. The Digital Services Act is being used not to protect users, but to silence anyone who dares defy the Commission’s narrative. This is not digital governance, this is mafia politics. First they came for X, tomorrow it will be Hungary, your news outlet, your church, your voice. The DSA is the perfect tool for unaccountable bureaucrats to decide who gets silenced, who gets fined, and who gets erased. While Ursula von der Leyen drowns in corruption scandals, her Commission uses censorship to distract and control. But Europeans are waking up, and voices like Buxadé’s remind us: they can threaten, they can fine, but they will not win. “This is not a fine. It is a mafia style warning. The commission is using the DSA to punish anyone who refuses to take its propaganda. Today it is a company like X. On other days it is countries like Hungary or media outlets and citizens like you. Brussels has turned digital regulation into a tool for player censorship and political control. The swamp of corruption that Brussels has become under the presidency of the EPP leader, Ursula von der Leyen, is now trying to cover up this week's money mismanagement scandals by attacking X with this sanction. They are sending a warning to all the fans. They are prepared to do whatever it takes to maintain control over our lives, and we are going to maintain the freedom of our lives. Long live Europe. Long live our freedom!” Source: Jorge Buxadé, VOX 🇪🇸, VOX Europa, Patriots for Europe

Imagine this for a second. Everywhere you go, everything you do there’s a digital version of you quietly following along. Not just your name or your date of birth, but your habits, your movements, what you buy, where you travel, even who you spend time with. Now, we’re being told it’s a good idea to bundle all of that into a single digital ID. Sounds convenient, right? But convenience has a cost and it’s usually paid in control. Think of a digital ID like putting all your keys your house key, your car key, your office key onto one single keycard. Lose it, and you’re locked out of everything. But worse than losing it is someone else getting hold of it. One breach, one hack, one system failure… and suddenly your entire identity isn’t just expose it’s vulnerable. Now imagine that system isn’t just used to prove who you are, but also to decide what you can do. Maybe it starts small. You need it to access services, to travel, to work. Fair enough. But over time, it can quietly become a gatekeeper. If something goes wrong an error, a disagreement, even a false flag you could find yourself locked out of basic parts of life, with no easy way to fix it. And here’s the thing people don’t always realise: once a system like that is built, it doesn’t stay limited. It expands. New features get added. New rules come in. What starts as “optional” can quickly become unavoidable. It’s not about being paranoid it’s about understanding human systems. Power tends to grow, not shrink. In everyday terms, scrapping digital ID isn’t about rejecting technology. It’s about keeping balance. It’s about making sure no single system has too much control over who you are and what you’re allowed to do. Because your identity isn’t just data. It’s yours. And once you hand over the keys completely, it’s very hard to get them back. Richie Taylor Scrap Digital ID Sat 25 April 2pm The Senedd Cardiff And London Belfast Edinburgh #notodigitalid #together

Without World Models, There Is No AGI. Google Just Proved It. If AGI ever happens, it will not come from bigger chatbots alone. From the very start of this interview, one thing is crystal clear: without world models, we will never reach AGI. And right now, Google is leading with its world simulator Genie 3. Here is the core of what Demis Hassabis explains in this conversation: • World models are the missing core of AGI Hassabis says his deepest long term focus has always been world models and simulations. Not just language. Not just prediction. Actual internal simulations of reality. • LLMs are impressive, but incomplete Language models understand more about the world than expected because human language encodes a lot of reality. Still, language is only a shadow of the real thing. • What text can never fully teach Reality includes things text struggles to express: •3D space and spatial dynamics •Physical causality and mechanics •Sensorimotor experience like movement, force, smell, or balance • Experience beats description To close the gap, AI must learn from interaction and experience, not just static text. That is how you build an internal world simulator. • Why Genie 3 matters With Google DeepMind pushing systems like Genie 3, AI starts to model reality itself, not just talk about it. • Robots and real world assistants depend on this True robotics, smart glasses, and universal assistants require AI that understands the physical world you live in, not just your screen. Bottom line: AGI will not emerge from better text prediction. It will emerge from systems that can simulate, predict, and understand reality itself. Right now, Google is clearly ahead on that path. Curious what you think. Are world models the real AGI unlock, or just another stepping stone?

OpenClaw has 186K GitHub stars and 1.5M compromised API keys. I needed a secure alternative. So, I built it with n8n and Claude Opus 4.6. It can already: - Reply to your Telegram messages - Access selected folders from your laptop - Access Gmail, Drive, Notion, Linear, etc. - Install new local tools in a sandbox - Run autonomously for hours - Create multiple subagents - Learn from experience - Wake up regularly But, unlike OpenClaw, it: - Can't access your API keys - Can't modify its environment - Can't access folders you haven't shared - Can't access tools you haven't approved - Must get your confirmation, e.g., when sending emails These aren’t prompt instructions. They’re hard architectural boundaries — Docker isolation, mounted folder permissions, n8n’s tool approval system. Key components: ✅ The VPS on Hostinger hosts n8n and a sandbox container. Agents can also connect to my laptop's sandbox via a Claudeflare tunnel + Desktop Commander MCP. ✅ The Manager agent is the brain. It plans, decides, delegates, and talks to the user. It never touches files. It never runs scripts. It works entirely from executor summaries. ✅ The Executor agents are the hands. Each receives a task (what to do + why it matters), decides how to execute it, and reports back. They can install new tools and execute code only in their dedicated sandboxes. ✅ Data Tables in n8n store both memories and sessions — no external database, no vector store, no infrastructure. Just rows in a table. Turns out, that's enough. Two memory types: - Manager memory: user preferences, facts, corrections, relationship, skills, context - Executor memory: what tools are installed, what’s broken, workarounds ✅ Sessions are short-term state for multi-step tasks. Original request, plan, assumptions, and what happened so far. When the Manager loops with fresh context, the session is all it gets. That's a Ralph Wiggum loop. I've been using it for 5 days. And already can't imagine not having it on my phone. What's next: - Heartbeat via Cron (a scheduled prompt) - Civic Nexus governance + MCPs - Supermemory integration - WhatsApp as an additional surface - Hardening The architecture supports all of it. OpenClaw proved people want personal AI agents. It also proved that 'just trust the prompt' isn't a security model. Docker isolation, mounted folder permissions, tool approval — none of this is new technology. It's just discipline. You can easily do this even with n8n — no coding required. --- Want to try it or read more? More, what I learned, and a setup guide: productcompass[.]pm

We’re bringing this back bc You have people SEETHING behind the scenes bc they SWORE they were in control of your relationships, your cash flow, your visibility, your forward movement and for a lot of you -!your self perception bc they thought they had damaged you enough to make you want to give up ALL HOPE on yourself and they’re PISSED bc not only did you survive all the attempts to destroy you- you came out on the other side bigger and better than ever. They thought they would be able to traumatize you and get into your head and pluck on certain wounds forever not realizing that by isolating you all they did was give you the time and space to MASTER yourself. You LOOK better, FEEL better, are doing BETTER THAN EVER && have blossomed right in front of the very ppl who thought they buried you. They CANT FATHOM this level of self love, self acceptance and self awareness bc while they were trying to put you down, you took the time to put the work in. You are unstoppable, irresistible and unfuckwithable and the folks who thought they ruled your life are realizing how insignificant they truly are. They were just a catalyst. It doesn’t matter what they want for you- if GOD says that it’s for you… you WILL have it and there is no one who can halt, stop, delay or swap your blessings any longer. You deserve EVERYTHING good that is about to happen to you so don’t question it. &&& for these folks in the back? LET THEM WATCH. I love you🌿 PS.. excuse my French it’s the passion 😭
