In roughly two months, Tesla FSD got another approval in Europe. Europe is pressing “allow FSD” country by country. Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, and now Denmark all said yes. FSD doesn’t grow inside PowerPoint decks; it grows on real roads with real drivers and weird European traffic habits. Still supervised. Still responsible. In Belgium, you’re legally required to stay in the right lane on highways when there’s no traffic. Many drivers ignore this and hog the middle or left lane like seen in this video and yes, you can get fined for it. Tesla FSD does it perfectly: it automatically merges back to the right when the lane is clear. Overtaking on the right is strictly forbidden (with even bigger fines)

This morning on Tesla FSD, cruising at 71 MPH, my rear camera shows a dark SUV flying up behind me. What does the car do? It doesn’t ego-trip. It doesn’t camp. It reads the situation. There are some small differences in UI between Tesla FSD V14 Lite and HW4 V14. • Starting Self-Driving requires brake to confirm. It’s on by default. • There is no FSD intervention survey, just a voice message. • No Self-Driving stats (hope that can be added in the future). • Arrival options do not appear when approaching the destination. • It does not say “Driving to Whole Foods” when FSD is activated (I hope that’s added in the future as well). Keep in mind, this is a legacy Model Y with an Intel chip. All in all, V14 delivers on the main features from HW4 FSD. It parks in your driveway, in parking lots, at Superchargers, etc. It’s been really incredible. A night-and-day difference compared to V12.

Since v14, FSD has this weird obsession with moving from the inner lane to the outer lane during a left turn. For me, it happens on every two-lane left turn. And it does it in a very jerky, dangerous way — even if it means cutting in front of another car, FSD will still insist on doing it. Is this because FSD is more afraid of hitting the curb at the corner than of getting rear-ended by someone else? This really feels like a serious bug to me. I’m not sure whether it’s because the model is overfitted to avoid curbs during turns, or because it was trained to always end up in the rightmost lane after a left turn. I honestly don’t know, but I really hope this gets fixed soon.

There are so many misconceptions about Tesla FSD, it can get out of hand sometimes. In reality, FSD is one of the most transformative technologies out there. With a single press of a button, it can drive you from point A to point B smoother than a human, all while being 9x safer. For some people, driving can be challenging due to anxiety or other issues. FSD cures that. It gives freedom back to people of all ages, most importantly the elderly. Autonomy is here, and it’s only getting better. When you buy a Tesla, you are buying a Personal Robotaxi. You won’t be able to live without it once you experience it on a daily basis.

I really hope Tesla AI will fix this overreaction issue in future FSD updates 🙏🏼 On a divided highway with a concrete barrier, my Tesla suddenly veered right toward the shoulder and abruptly slowed down just because an emergency 🚨 vehicle was approaching from the opposite direction. There was zero risk of interaction. This unnecessary maneuver is actually more reckless than simply staying in lane and maintaining speed. I had to press the accelerator to prevent cars from rear-ending my Tesla.
