My issue with having giant skulls in games is, what could it have possibly been when it was ALIVE? I don't think people realize the implications of something that big walking around. Literally every step would be massive destruction. And then what does it eat?

I think that it is cool. You wander through the land that was once totally devastated, but it has recovered. Once mighty beast now is only a landmark. Cycle of life :)

The lighting shift is smooth, but the shadows are what sell the night/day cycle test for me. It feels like time passing, not just a color grade.
