Good choice, I loved how it changes from black and white to colour in that game when you liberate areas from nazis.

I'm playing GTA V on a PS3 and its been such a fun experience. I remember when was a kid and playing this for the first time, I didn't give a damn about how BAD the framerate was during driving. I was constantly in awe by how realistic this game looked back then that the framerate wasn't something that was going to stop me from enjoying it. Don't get me wrong, this game is running on a PS3 that has 256mb of RAM and 256mb of VRAM which is some black magic itself and the fact that Rockstar Games managed to have such a massive open world game with that much traffic and NPCs running in real-time is a feat on its own.

Microsoft attempted to create its own version of Uncharted for the Xbox Black Tusk Studios, now known as The Coalition, was working on the game, which was dubbed Project Ranger, when the Xbox One was being built. The firm had been working on a Halo game for the Kinect when they were asked to create a game using elements of Uncharted. Project Ranger was supposed to combine the espionage aspects of Mission Impossible with the classic action gameplay of Naughty Dog. The team thought that the new IP will become the next big series for Xbox. The footage was revealed at an Xbox E3 demonstration in 2013, but it was not announced as a game yet. It turns out that Liam McIntyre, who currently voices Wolverine in Insomniac's Marvel's Wolverine game, played the role of Cole, the game's protagonist. Unfortunately, creative disputes arose between upper management and the team, and the project stopped. Later, Black Tusk Studios was approached to work on the next Gears of War with Rod Fergusson. If you think GTA VI is going to be difficult to optimize for current gen consoles which all have 16GB of RAM respectively (except Xbox Series S) Then you can't imagine the pain Rockstar Games must have gone through when they had to optimize GTA V for PS3 and Xbox 360. Each one of these consoles had 512MB of total memory, PS3 had 256MB XDR DRAM and 256MB VRAM. For comparison, google chrome with 3 tabs open can take up to 2GB of RAM memory today. Yet, somehow Rockstar Games managed to have this game running on an internal resolution of 720p, targeting 30FPS which is an incredible feat in my opinion. For how massive GTA V was, they truly pushed these consoles to the absolute maximum

In a past life at EA I worked for 8 years on the engine for the Harry Potter games - in 2006 it was a formative time because Order of the Phoenix was the first fully streamed, open world game that we'd made : from an old sd card.. the first time Harry ran around Hogwarts on PS3!
