Lead by example. Then follow up with a verbal for max effect. Yesterday at the splashpad: Rock climbing wall was closed. I took my son and asked the lifeguard kid what was up with it. “There’s been bees around for a couple weeks, kids have been getting stung. We’ve been asking for spray but no one’s got it.” So I walk over to my wife. “Can you watch the kids, I’m gonna run out and get bee & wasp spray and take care of the rock wall nest bc clearly no one else is going to.” So I ran to the dollar store and grabbed some spray. Came back and took care of business. My son watched me take care of a problem that multiple life guards didn’t take care of for a couple weeks. Then he and all the other kids, and of course myself, got to play on the rock wall. So then, on the ride home, I explain to my kids that if no one is fixing the problem, and we are able to, we should fix the problem. So the kids saw it, and they were told that it was intentional, not just a coincidence or accident. In that conversation my son says “yeah it seems like our family is always using our big brain and the rest of the world is using small brain.” You’re not wrong kid. It’s on us to show the world what right looks like.

🚨 Today I introduced the Public Health Amendment (Immunisation) Bill 2026. This is the first major legislative push in NSW in over eight years to restore parental rights and vaccine choice. In 2017 the NSW Government quietly removed the conscientious objector exemption that had existed for decades and expanded the “no jab, no play” rules to every school and childcare centre in the state. Parents who had carefully weighed the benefits and risks with their doctor suddenly had the door slammed in their face. The State decided it knew better. More and more parents are selective about vaccines after the dangerous and ineffective COVID vaccine was forced on the entire population. These parents are not extremists for wanting to make informed health decisions for their own children. Libertarians don't believe you should have to co-parent with the government, so this Bill reverses those 2017 changes and puts power back with parents where it belongs. Specifically, it does three things: 1. Limits the immunisation enrolment requirements to pre-2017 rules. 2. Fully restores the conscientious objector pathway from the schools it applies to, so parents who have weighed up the risks can still make the decision themselves. 3. Keeps the medical objection pathway intact. Nothing in this Bill stops any parent from fully vaccinating their child. It simply stops the State from punishing parents who, after proper medical advice, choose a different path for their son or daughter. After the Supreme Court’s Bruen decision, NJ didn’t suddenly decide concealed carry was a great idea. The State was forced to allow it. .Attorney General Jennifer Davenport Matt Platkin reacted as expected: knee-jerk, sloppy, and hostile. His response was so extreme that major parts of it are STILL in federal court. The “sensitive places” scheme that everything else hangs on is still being argued because even the courts can’t agree on where the lines are supposed to be...and then here comes this bill, building on that mess. This isn’t technically about “sensitive places"; it’s about trespass. Trespass doesn’t automatically mean "breaking in" to a building. In NJ, it can be as simple as being somewhere you didn’t realize was off-limits because of missing signage, unclear boundaries, rules that have changed, or even rules that didn't exist at the time. The bill takes that uncertainty and cranks up the consequences if you’re lawfully carrying. So now, someone who has a permit and is trying to follow the law can end up facing felony charges because the AG decides later that they “should have known” that they weren’t supposed to be there. Not because they threatened or hurt anyone, but because they were there AND they were carrying. CRIMINALS AREN'T WORRIED ABOUT ANY OF THIS. The only people this actually puts at risk are the ones trying to comply in good faith. The AG and Trenton Dems keep pushing penalties while the courts are still trying to sort out whether the underlying framework is constitutional. People can be charged today under rules that change tomorrow. That's ludicrous. The Dems posted and voted for a shaky law that turns unclear rules into criminal liability and honest mistakes into prison time. HARD NO on this really bad bill.

No one wants to deal with this level of nonsense. Entitled parents are teaching entitled kids that they can whine, complain, and manipulate their way into what they want. But that’s not how life works. The best players earn their spot that’s how it’s supposed to be. Don’t like where you stand? Work harder or move on. Because in college and especially in the real world you can’t just call the coach or your child’s future employer and demand they get a position, scholarship, or job they didn’t earn. Accountability builds character. Excuses don’t. And it’s sad, because these parents aren’t helping they’re robbing their kids of the opportunity to build confidence and resilience through hard work.
