If you have the ball and fall into deadball territory, which Swanson did, it is a dead ball and all runners advance 1 base... LEARN THE RULES

Dansby caught ball and left the field of play, rule is each runner moves up one base. That's how.

He caught the ball in play and ended up off the field, runners get a base. Happened earlier this year to someone that caught a foul ball and ended up in dugout.

It was an amazing play. Too bad they didn’t count it but that was because it was the Cubs that made the play . Had it been Yankees, Dodgers, it would have counted. MLB pukes.

It’s the same concept as when a throw goes into the dugout or out of play. The runners advance 1 base. It’s really not that hard to figure out
